Nominations are now open for our March Monthly Read. Since we're not selecting a quarterly read this month the monthly read is open to authors of all nationalities including Irish. If you need to, you can review the nominations guidelines here.

Nominations will remain open until midnight GMT on Friday February 26th. For those outside Ireland/UK that's

New York: 7.00pm on Thursday February 25th
LA: 4.00pm on Thursday Friday 25th

Please remember to include a link to the book when nominating.

Colleen | 1205 comments I would like to nominate The Secret Scripture.

message 4: by Serf (new)

Serf I'm not gonna nominate this month cause I've nominated two duds recently lol. Secret scripture sounds good

message 5: by Paul (new)

Paul Can i renominate Emmas recent nomination The Taxidermists Daughter by Kate Mosse.

message 6: by Emma (new)

Emma Flanagan (emma89) Paul just check when it's due for publication in the US. I know it's March but it may be late March which wouldn't work.

message 7: by Paul (new)

Paul Oops. I actually forgot that was an issue last time round. I'll have a check later on

message 8: by Kevin (new)

Kevin I'll blindly nominate Emma Donoghue's Room since it's Oscar time and I have it on my shelf needing to be read. :)

message 9: by Serf (new)

Serf It's very good Kevin, read it a couple of years ago

message 10: by Paul (new)

Paul Looks like my book is out as an Ebook but not a physical book stateside (its out late march) The paperback is available from Kennys or Book Depository but I suppose it will make getting a library copy impossible. If its a big issue I'll withdraw

message 11: by Emma (new)

Emma Flanagan (emma89) I'd say withdraw it and nominate it next month for April maybe. Ordering online is fine for quarterlies but not great for monthlies, and not everyone uses ebooks.

message 12: by Paul (new)

Paul Very true. It would be a great group read but better give everyone a chance.

I got a copy in anticipation. It's out here in HC and on kindle March 29th so it won't be available for a March read in the US.

Barbara (bdegar) | 4626 comments Just looked for The Taxidermist's Daughter on The Book Depository (sometimes I can' t manage to connect to Kennys website) and it's under $9 free shipping. It's available in Australia and on Audible - though not in the US yet.

message 15: by Emma (new)

Emma Flanagan (emma89) I'm going to nominated All Names Have Been Changed by Claire Kilroy.

message 16: by Paul (new)

Paul I'll switch my nomination to The Gallows Curse by Karen Maitland. Its one of the only ones of hers I haven't read.

message 17: by Emma (new)

Emma Flanagan (emma89) Reminder nominations close tonight at midnight GMT.
