Celtic Romance: Strictly speaking, this one includes Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. However, please note that we also have a Highlander Romance sub-genre below. So, although usually set in these places, we’ll allow the hero or heroine to be Celtic. This one allows room for Roarke from the In Death series, but I’d save him for Futuristic.

(Examples on GRs’ listopia Romance in Ireland and/or Irish Hero(in)es; Romance in Wales and/or Welsh Hero(in)es; Best Irish Historical Romances.)

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) I'm going to read On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1) by Samantha Young for sure and if I get time I'd really like to read In Bed with a Highlander (McCabe Trilogy, #1) by Maya Banks which was recommended to me last month but I didn't have time

⚜️Trea (duskrider3740) | 1319 comments I've been reading the "In Death" series, so thanks to Roarke being Irish, I'll read Holiday in Death, Midnight in Death, and Conspiracy in Death.

Considering we already did Futuristic Romance back in October of 2013, I think it's safe to use Roarke for the Irish time around! (And yes, I am OCD enough to have a list of all past SGotMs!)

I was being tongue in cheek about Tennesssee as a Celtic hotspot. I don't think it has that reputation LOL

Well, it's clear to me that something is deeply hidden. Neither one will even admit to themselves that there is any attraction.

message 38: by Lara (new)

Lara | 2335 comments I got pretty far into Shadow Spell (The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy, #2) by Nora Roberts last night, but was almost put off by the prologue. It was long, I really hated the action they spied on (view spoiler).

LK, don't wait too long before reading the next book. It's been a while for me and there is a lot I had forgotten. I'm glad she has little mentions, as it helped me put things into place.

I'm halfway
I hated that too, Lara ! I thought it was very inappropriate and (view spoiler) Rant over :p

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20797 comments I just got past the part where Iona comes across Boyle in the stables, (view spoiler) LMBO! She's furious, as I would be, but it is such a great scene, when you're not one of the two involved.

message 43: by Lara (new)

Lara | 2335 comments That was a great scene! Especially when she really had so little knowledge of her history or abilities. To then be accused that way just because someone is afraid of his own feelings would be infuriating.

message 44: by ⚜️Trea, Moderator (new)

⚜️Trea (duskrider3740) | 1319 comments I've finished my Roarke contingent for the month and enjoyed all of them...Conspiracy most of all. That one made me cry!

message 45: by Oleander (new)

Oleander | 188 comments I finished Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning . It was better than book 1 and left me with a lot of unanswered questions. It wasn't a romance, it was UF, but it definitely felt Irish.. Then I read another UF book that wasn't Irish but had a leprauchan shop keeper. LOL. Think I'll try the Irish romance set in Tennessee next.

message 46: by ShoSho , Moderator (new)

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments The greatest scene so far in shadow spell : (view spoiler)

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) I finished On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1) by Samantha Young - and it's a weird one for me. I really enjoyed it but the book/writing had some serious flaws. There were grammar/editing errors all over the place! Also I thought the heroine was a bit over the top on the whole not getting close to anyone. When I think about the book logically I shouldn't have liked it as much as I did. I ended up giving it a 4 star rating despite my "logical mind" because I did really enjoy it. And Yet I don't have any great desire to read anymore books in the series.... So Strange

message 48: by Lara (new)

Lara | 2335 comments I finished Shadow Spell last night. It was pretty good. I'm debating when to read the last book in the trilogy as I have a lot of other books to read, including ones that are soon due back at the library.

I finished it too and liked it almost as much as the first book. 4 stars for me.
I have the next one right next to my bed but like you I have a few that I finish first. I'll definitely read Blood Magick (The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy, #3) by Nora Roberts in March.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20797 comments Good, Lara & ShoSho. You can wait for me. :o)

I did finish Dark Witch (The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy, #1) by Nora Roberts and loved it. Need to 'tag' it as read on GRs, though.
