ABANDONED. Modern day story, woman searching for her "missing" military brother

I am looking for a book that I read a couple years ago.
Author is a woman, name and title unknown.
It's a modern day story of a woman who is looking for her brother. He served in the military and her family has been told he died in action. She does not believe what they have been told and is determined to find out what happened to him. She finds a man whom she believes knew her brother and has info about him, the man lives isolated in the mountains in a cabin and the story begins with her trespassing on his property in the middle of a storm. A large amount of the story takes place on his property. Definitely a romance with some mystery. Any help greatly appreciated.
