Need Help Adding My New Book

Hello,
I was trying to add my new book and first tried without my middle initial K since I'm Julie Richmond on Amazon. However, I received an error that I was in the system as Julie K. Richmond. That was fine, and so I tried to add again under Julie K. Richmond, but it had taken my previous time and added my book under Julie Richmond anyway (but not under my author profile).

I need my new book added for my author profile. The title is Accepting the Afterlife: Grief, Belief, Purpose. The ASIN - B01B0NGFWW

My author name here on Goodreads has the middle initial K. which I can definitely keep or if I could change it to not having the K and just being Julie Richmond that would be great.

Please let me know what else I might need to do.

Julie, I've changed the entry for your book so the name now matches Julie K. Richmond and links accurately to your Goodreads author profile. Because you are a Goodreads author I cannot change your name (I believe you can though? Someone else may be able to speak to this).

Hi Julie,

Librarians can edit the data on any book, whereas Goodreads authors can only edit the data on books that already have their name as the primary author. Because the books were imported to a different profile (without your middle initial), you didn't have editing permission. Whenever your books are imported into the Goodreads database from Amazon in the future, they will end up on the wrong profile because your name here and on Amazon does not match. One way around this is proactively add your titles and their ISBNs or ASINs to Goodreads as soon as possible (with your middle initial in the author field), before the automatic database uploads create the records here. Or you can always come here and ask a librarian to move the books to your profile.

If that doesn't work, it is possible to change your author profile name, but I'm not sure if you can do it yourself or if you'll need an employee's assistance. If you'd like to change your profile name to omit your middle initial and match your book covers, then contact support here:
