I'm looking for a YA book that I read perhaps 20 years or so ago. I think it was written by a woman. The plot contained a young female lead who moves to a small rural town & gets involved in a secret club/society. I think that there are masks (gold & silver ?) & cloaks (red or brown) involved & possible subtle references to drug use. They meet in a barn or abandoned building & towards the end things go very wrong. There may have been an attempted stoning at the climax. It's been a long time but I would love to read this book again. I found it at the county library where I grew up in rural Montana.
