Has it explained why exactly you cant touch her? I keep thinking of Rogue from X-Men when she touches them its like poison lmao

I feel it hasn't explained enough though! It's kinda driving me nuts between what the hell is going on in this world and what her problem is I just feel like her stream of consciousness is a little stifling to the story!

I agree. Another reason why I'm on chapter 16. I feel the details are pretty vague and I hope if I keep reading it will explain. How far are you Kathy?

I'm in the middle of 23. Like I get that the Earth is dying and that this new form of government took over or whatever but I'm really not getting a clear picture about why Warner wants her and what has happened before right now.

It is wuite the book to get through. I had to reread thibgs to make sure I understood them...

I was almost going to join in this... but looking at what you have to say so far this might be a good book to skip.

Alright, I'm about 40 pages from the end and without giving any spoilers, I feel like once the character had to describe what was going on around her and spend less time rattling around in her own head things got a lot clearer for me. All of a sudden a story started to evolve, we got some background and we definitely started having more of a plot with her and Adam and all the other characters. I felt like the character stepped out of her own way as we progressed.

I'll say this Bridgett the end of the book was almost worth getting through the first half. I thought it really picked up at the end.
