I am left wondering the same thing about him and the deputy sheriff. Who was it who knew who the real murderer was, and why did he keep quiet?
One of my truly horrifying moments was when we knew what was in that huge duffel bag. Why did it travel to the airport in the first place?
That is the age old question when someone runs. He obviously knew something. Charlene, things at airports were a lot different back then. Do you think maybe Howard was threatened? Or possibly finally felt accepted and didn't want to lose that?
You're right about airports not so long ago, Melissa. I remember when we could go right to the arrival gate to meet someone coming home from a flight. Having said this, I still can't imagine how Ray wouldn't question why something had gone as part of baggage, and then would be asked to take it back home.
I see what you are saying, Charlene. It would have made me question why he brought it in the first place.
