ABANDONED. Boy finds a dog with a key - Boy finds different size dogs locked in secret rooms.

This boy finds a small dog with a key to a box, that leads him to another room with a bigger dog with a key to a box and so on until he finds a really really bog dog.

I remember it from when I was 5 but that is all I remember.

Is it a picture book or a chapter book with mostly words?

I think around 1994-1995. It was mostly pictures with a short story line.

"This is a children’s book that’s probably more than 30 years old. I read it once in kindergarten. It was about a boy who finds secret keys in locked boxes and every key leads to a room with a dog in it, and with every room the dogs keep getting bigger until they’re giants. I think it was 3 rooms and 3 dogs but I’m not sure.

Unfortunately that’s all I remember. It was a short children’s book."
