Just finished
3 days back, now I've begun with
. I love how it has started and it is a page turner from the first page. Haven't read any Shakespeare beside Comedy Of Errors in school time
Hello, everyone!!I just finished Kate Atkinson's 'Behind The Scenes of The Museum'!!
A woman's life could never get anymore crazy!! :)
Currently reading
. The book has hit me emotionally on so many levels. It has been 10 days I've read only 200 pages. I can't, even if I want to, read more than 20 pages a day. It talks about incidents that I've always been horrified of whenever I thought about them, it brings me to tear. The title of the book is carved out, whenever something emotional part comes up, my fingers automatically trace those carvings. It has become a highly personal book
I seem a little late to comment but then I was engrossed in books (texts included). This February I started reading Divergent trilogy because one of my friends recommended so. My thesis :
1. SPOILER ALERT.
2. I liked the first one a lot but it seemed like Hunger Games so I was a bit disappointed.
3.Insurgent was such a dull one.
4. You don't read a book to see people die especially the important ones but then it would have been too flimsy.
Then I read 'Four' by the same author Veronica Roth.
It was really bad. Maybe not 'too' bad but more than bad.
Then I read 'Fault In Our Stars'. I hate romance but I loved this one. It strikes you with reality and then it is beautiful written, how do I say delicately, 'nicely phrased' it is. And one more thing my 'okay' is no more 'Okay'.
I read 'The Interpreter of Maladies' by Jhumpa Lahiri.
I need to say something else?
Is anyone has The girl on The Train Novel? If you have this book then kindly Could you share this book to me either in Kindle format or in PDF format?
My email Id is - amit151993@gmail.com
Thanks
currently reading Horseman by Mike Nicol. It's weird, disturbing and a little inarticulated. Still pushing through
I'd like to start one of Murakami's books. Figured it was about time. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Wow That was fast!!
Wow That was fast!!
I'm currently reading
I've read pretty much all of Emily Giffin's work, but this one seems to be the most different of all.
Just finished
. Great book. Intense plot, complex characters, moral dilemmas, just all around great.Currently reading
. It's basically the new Harry Potter, but not quite as good.
Just finished reading Amitav Ghosh's The Calcutta Chromosome! Wow, just wow!The Calcutta Chromosome: A Novel of Fevers, Delirium & Discovery
Finished
. It's kind of short, but that is only part of the reason I'm done so soon. The other part is that it's friggin' AWESOME! Highly recommended to Harry Potter fans and people who don't find math unbearable.

This didn't appeal to me as much as the Stormlight Archive or Mistborn, but it was decent nonetheless

The basic complaint I've seen online about The Rithmatist is that it has too many teen fiction cliches, which isn't a problem for me when the characters are so much fun to get to know and the conflicts are so relatable yet somewhat new.
Utkarsh wrote: "Varun wrote: "Utkarsh wrote: "Finished

H..."Rithmatist was written for a younger audience so the cliches sort of made sense. I'd suggest read the Final Empire (Mistborn #1) before any of his other works, If you're hooked after that, then it's all good. Stormlight is very heavy stuff to start off with. I'm not saying it's not a great way to start, it's just that Mistborn brought him to the forefront and you can maybe appreciate Stormlight more after reading that

I guess I'll read whichever I get my hands on first (that's the cue for any BYOB member who has it to get it :p). Truth is, I've been reading mostly light stuff recently, so now I want to get into some heavy reading.
Started The Final Empire with high hopes. Have been recommended to read the series by so many fantasy enthusiasts, hope it lives up to its expectations.
Currently reading Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights . It is a light read compared to Midnight's Children and other Rushdie novels , profound and rock starish at the same time .... Pick it up and feel good about improving your mind
.
Just finished
, suggested by Tanya in dystopian meet. It's such a creepy book. The internet has high chances of taking over the world and rule out democracy again. A must read for a little sneak peak into future technology and what it might lead at this pace that we're relying on it.Currently reading
, suspense level is way too high, almost a horror.
Can I use "frabjous"? :D if the stories weren't so distracting I'd have tried to get at some of the mathematics ;)
godavar wrote: "Can I use "frabjous"? :D if the stories weren't so distracting I'd have tried to get at some of the mathematics ;)"Of course you can use frabjous. In fact, it is encouraged. The chess game in Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There is also a lot of fun to imagine.
Incidentally if you have some lengthier thoughts that you'd like to post, there is an Alice thread in the discussion board.
Just finished A History of Violence A History of Violence. It was a treat to read since I never usually read crime novels, much less crime graphic novels.
Varun wrote: "Yash wrote: "The former is one of my favourites." Slaughterhouse-Five it is then :D"
I still have yet to complete the Hitchhiker's Guide 'trilogy'.
