Jordon Greene (jordongreene) I'm planning out the marketing and promotional ideas for my upcoming debut novel release of They'll Call It Treason and one of the things I lack in its entirety is a book trailer.

Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations on individuals or companies that do low cost trailers, but good work, or recommendations on how to put on together myself. I'm a web developer by trade, so I've already save money on that, so I may be able to pay for one, but if I can get something for free or close to free (maybe in exchange for credit or something) I would not be opposed to it, at all.

Jill (jillbrock) | 77 comments I've always done my own book trailer, (I'm cheap that way). I do graphic work. I've even use Microsoft movie maker at one time, also Adobe premiere. I buy my images and slice and dice them together. It is time consuming, but it only cost you time at best.

Denise Baer Hi Jordon,

I'm a bit late, but I'd suggest you watch many book trailers on Youtube. I think it's important to make a list of key phrases that will capture your audience. These key sentences and phrases are what you could use in the video. Then collect some public domain pictures or use your own that match the theme of your book. Then find some public domain music to put with the pictures and phrases.

You can put it together in Movie Maker. Below are some public domain sites you might be interested in.

Best of luck to you!

Jordon Greene (jordongreene) Thanks. I've actually already managed to create the trailer. I found a great resource called video blocks and also Vimeo had a great music library I found. They both offer good quality items for cheap to even free. I'm looking to release the trailer in the coming weeks.
