That's a bummer, I just purchased my book using Amazon earlier today. Oh well, I'll just have to use it for other book gifting. :)

I hope you love it as much as I did! I had the extra fun of being intimately familiar with his setting. While the names are different, the mill and the diner and many other elements have real life counter parts that I drive past several times a week. I have actually caught myself looking for other things from that book as if they will be there! :)
My Santa is one Maria, but there is so many, so not really sure, but thank you Maria! Looking so forward to read it, not sure this year or next, but it will either be a great read after the four I have to finish before christmas or it will be an amazing start on the new year ^^

I'm Mary Kat's santa. :) And so, so pleased you liked your book. Giving people books is one of my favourite things to do!(As for why this reveal came late - I had sort of assumed we were meant to maintain the secrecy, and then I saw Kara's answer about it in the 'questions for mods'-thread. So yeah!)

A huge thank you to my Secret Santa. I am so excited to read The Martian. I have looked at it, and looked at it, and looked at it, but never bought it. I didn't watch the movie when it came out because I wanted to read the book first.

My book club that meets in real life also does Secret Santa (because it's my favorite thing ever), and I gave my Santee The Nightingale this year too!

I read John Dies at the End last year and really enjoyed it. It is a weird book. I just bought part two for myself. I would love to hear what you thin of your books when you read them.
I've never heard of John Dies at the End but it sounds super interesting! I added it to my to-read list.
I believe I received Nora Roberts book Night Moves from my Secret Santa. Its hard for me to tell what books are new, but I don't remember buying that one. Thank you to whoever sent it. And if its not it, let me know and I'll keep looking.

I'm having as much fun seeing what everyone is getting as I did picking out a book to send, and waiting to see what comes to me! All the Secret Santas seem to have done a great job. It looks like everyone is really happy with their books!

Winter, I totally agree. I love watching everyone receive their books!Santas: you have one more week to get your book in the mail! If you are shipping internationally, please try to do it sooner rather than later because there will be a delay.
I received my book today! The complete Vegetarian Cookbook! I love it! My Secret Santa also sent me a bookmark with four book recommendations on it! I am looking them up now! I will add them to my reading list for next year! Thank You Secret Santa!Robin

You have no idea how hard it was to not send you a stack of books! I got you Into the Wild because it appeared to be on your TBR the longest and Different Seasons because we had just talked about it.

I'm starting to send out Secret Santa names today. They'll go out in batches. I'm going to keep this thread closed for a little bit while I'm sending out messages, but then I'll open it so folks can post when they start receiving their books. I'm still waiting on a few survey responses, so not all of the Secret Santa assignments have gone out. If you haven't received yours yet, don't worry!
PLEASE REMEMBER: If your profile is private, it'll be harder for your Santa to know what type of books you like and impossible for him or her to know what you have already read.
