Zaz | 3034 comments Welcome :)

I'm not sure it's a good idea to start King with The Dome (which is definitely not his best book). I read nothing recent from him, but if you're not fully decided, you can ask for a good recommendation in Off Topic.
I'll read Oryx and Crake and probably The Time Traveler's Wife for the challenge.
The Giver is pretty good and quick to read. Ender's Game was really pleasant too.
I read the 1st Amber this year and enjoyed it, I was totally surprised by the beginning because it didn't feel fantasy at all. If you read the sequels, I'm interested in your opinion.
The opening line for The Kiss is lovely :)

Beth | 127 comments I agree with Zaz that Under The Dome is not the best introduction to Stephen King. While it's not a bad book, it not the best example of his work. I found the ending disappointing and it is looong (1000+ pages). He's got lots of good stuff out there.

Letícia (leleticia) | 22 comments Hey, Zaz and Beth! Thank you for the advice!
I really don't know King's work at all, I just chose the book by the name.
I will ask for recommendations.

Letícia (leleticia) | 22 comments Another beautiful quote from The Kiss of Deception: “It can take years to mold a dream. It takes only a fraction of a second for it to be shattered.”
