Easily done :-)

message 5: by Ryan (new)

Ryan This is an off month for nominating Retribution Falls isn't it? In that case I nominate Gardens of the Moon for fantasy. We'll never get to book ten of the Malazan Book of the Fallen if we don't read book one.

Becky (becksnbooks) I nominate Lexicon by Max Barry for science fiction, and The Magicians by Lev Grossman for fantasy.

Dawn | 1139 comments I would like to nominate 'Just One Damn Thing After Another' by Jodi Taylor in Sci-fi. I read it last month but it was so much fun to read I'm feeling the need to share :-)

Rebecca wrote: "I nominate Lexicon by Max Barry for science fiction, and The Magicians by Lev Grossman for fantasy."

As Freya pointed out, Rebecca, you can only nominate one book. Let me know which of the two you would like to put forward.

Just as a question, because I don't know the answer - The Culture novels... do they not need to be read in order? or are they stand alone in the same kind of universe?

message 25: by Paul, A wanderer in unknown realms (new)

Paul | 3543 comments Mod
The ones I've read were out of sequence and still worked but I'm no expert .

message 26: by Paul (new)

Paul (halfmanhalfbook) | 439 comments It is more of a disorder Kirsty... Can I nominate Feersum Endjinn for SF?

message 28: by Nic, Wormhole Technician (new)

Nic Margett (enn_eye_cee) | 353 comments Mod
Yeah, the culture novels are just set in the same universe, but they are pretty much all unique characters that aren't repeated.
