Georgia | 1 comments What made you think of this predicament? Was it based on fact or just something that came to mind??

Shellye M. | 1 comments You do such a compelling job writing fully developed male characters. Is it more of a challenge writing men or do you just view them as an individual character with their own personality traits?

In the sense of character development, I certainly keep in mind that they are men, but I want them to be fully developed, with their own ambitions, joys, sorrows, and vulnerabilities. So in that way, I don't write male characters different from women.

This was inspired by (but not in any way related to) a true incident that happened here in California about 8 years ago. I read about it in the newspaper, and it stuck with me!

The plot is what makes me think the most. I love writing the characterizations and the descriptions and the settings and the scenes, but figuring out what happens, in the right order, is always the challenging part for me.
