Aysegul | 30 comments Third Challenge of the year is:
Duration: January 1 – December 31, 2016

This challenge is back by popular demand this year! We are always making goals about how many books we want to read in a year. How about we make a goal for number of pages we want to read?

1. Make a goal of number of pages you would like to read.
2. Read as many pages as you can in one year.
3. Since you probably don’t know what you want to read for the entire year, make your list as you go. (Be sure to post the number of pages in your book!)

If your edition doesn't have page numbers (such as an audiobook), use the most popular edition of the book (that's not an audiobook) to determine what the number of pages should be. Rereads will count for this challenge, but you have to read the entire book…no skimming!

Have fun with this challenge--let's turn a bunch of pages this year!

My goal is 10000 pages. Can't wait to start!

Update Feb, 19: The Stand: Complete&Uncut, S. King. 1160 pages
Update Feb, 24: Son Ada, Z. Livaneli, 148 pages
Update Apr, 22: Misspent Youth, Peter F. Hamilton, 416 pages
Update May 9: Gök Anahtarı, 552 pages

Aysegul | 30 comments Finally, finished with The Stand:)

Great book, more than 20 years ago I had read the short version. This time, the uncut version. I love it.

Aysegul | 30 comments Finished Son Ada
Good little story of how innocent people living in a paradise can turn into selfish beings, and can slowly fall into the trap of a dictator, without even realizing it.

Aysegul | 30 comments Finished, Misspent Youth
I am kind of disappointed in this one. I was expecting more SF, less relationships and soap opera like stories. Hopefully the series will improve.
