I wanted to make sure this book had a strong enough theme for Option C before I posted it - Holidays Are Hell. Each story is about a different holiday where something bad happens.

I have already completed this challenge, but I am thinking of doing some shifting. If I did, would the following count for Option C -- Anthology with a theme:The Oxford Book of Gothic Tales
with the theme of gothic tales?

I am going to assume my above question does not fit your definition of "Theme" since "Gothic" is a genre and you specifically state that a genre is not a theme. I'll find another place for it.

Sorry for the delay. Gothic is a genre not truly a theme.

The stories are all letters written to others telling about the process of solving the mysteries using the methodology of Sherlock Holmes.
