For most people, the focus at this time of year is on Christmas. However, there are plenty of other people out there celebrating other holidays instead of - or, in some cases, as well as - Christmas. Holidays like Yule (or, the Winter Solstice, if you prefer) and Hannukkah.

If you're one of those people, use this thread to tell us about the books you would recommend for children who also celebrate those holidays, or with parents who want their children to learn about the beliefs of others.

One story I would recommend to those who celebrate the Winter Solstice, or to parents who want to teach their children about it, is Meagan's Yule by Kat Dyer.

Jen Garrett | 148 comments I don't celebrate Chanukah, but I learned a little bit about the traditions by reading How Do Dinosaurs Say Happy Chanukah?
