Tricia (triciakirbs) | 43 comments Okay, here's my story(so far):

Cinder pressed her lips together to stifle a squeak of pain as Iko jabbed another pin into her wedding gown.

Unable to suppress it, Cinder flinched.

"Sorry," Iko said "It's just that you won't hold still!"

"Sorry!" Cinder said, echoing Iko's previous words.

Iko pulled the last few pins from the dress with flourish and rocked back on her heels, pondering.

"Is it done yet?" Cinder asked, even though she was really saying, "Can you bring a mirror in here already?"

Iko had stubbornly refused to show Cinder's reflection throughout the dress fitting because, according to Iko, it would ruin the "element of surprise".

Iko spun her finger around in the air, signaling Cinde to turn around.

"Well," Iko said, brushing nonexistent dust off her hands. "I think I did it."

Tricia (triciakirbs) | 43 comments Okay, this may look like the same thing, but I added more.

Cinder pressed her lips together to stifle a squeak of pain as Iko jabbed another pin into her wedding gown.

"Sorry," Iko said "It's just that you won't hold still!"

"Sorry!" Cinder said, echoing Iko's previous words.

"Well," Iko said, brushing nonexistent dust off her hands. "I think I did it."

"Can I see myself now?" Cinder said, hating the whine in her voice.

"Stars," Iko said, rolling her eyes, "When I want you to see, I'll tell you. I want our friends to critique it first."

Ten minutes later Scarlet, Cress, Winter and Pearl were crowding around Cinder, tapping there chins and nodding and well, critiquing.

"What are you doing here?" Cinder said, glaring at Pearl.

Pearl glared right back and snapped, "In case you didn't know, my occupation is a fashion designer. So why don't you shut up and let me look at your goddamn dress?"

Cinder looked over at Scarlet, who staring off into the distance.

"Scar? You okay?" Iko asked, before Cinder could open her mouth.

"Hmmm? Oh yeah, I'm fine," Scarlet said, her words slightly slurred. "I just need to..." Scarlet gestured furiously in the direction of the bathroom, before clapping both hands over her mouth and running out of the room. The four remaining girls exchanged looks of confusion.

"I'll go check on her." Cress said, exiting the room.

"I hope Scarlet friend is okay!" Winter piped up.

Pearl rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to the dress.

Chapter Two

Cress held Scarlets hair back and tried not to cringe.

Scarlet lifted her head and turned to face Cress, wiping her mouth, "Sorry," she said, grimacing.

"It's okay," Cress said, patting Scarlets shoulder. "That's what friends are for!"

Tricia (triciakirbs) | 43 comments Here's the rest!

Cress held Scarlets hair back and tried not to cringe.

Scarlet lifted her head and turned to face Cress, wiping her mouth, "Sorry," she said, grimacing.

"It's okay," Cress said, patting Scarlets shoulder. "That's what friends are for!"

After Scarlet had headed to her chambers for rest, Cress decided to go to hers.

Cress turned the corner and slammed into a tall, solid wall.

"Ow," the wall said, and Cress looked up at the person. Kinney.

"Hi," Cress squeaked. "Sorry, I-I wasn't watching where I was g-going...."

"Whatever." Kinney said. "Have you seen Iko?"

"Um...yeah, she's in the sewing room." Cress said, gesturing awkwardly in that direction.

"Thanks," Kinney said, and strides past her.

Cress let out a tiny "No problem" before hurrying on her way.

When she arrived in her room she found Thorne sitting on her bed.

Thorne looked up and smiled at her, causing Cress' heart to swell with her love for him.

"Hey, you. Couldn't stand the dressmaking procedure?"

"Nope," Cress said, making her way to him.

Thorne gave her a sly grin and replied, "I'll help you occupy your time."

Chapter 3

When she reached her room, Scarlet flopped down on her bed one hand clutching her stomach.

Wolf walked in a couple minutes later, a concerned look etched in his features. "Are you okay? Iko told me what happened."

Scarlet waved her hand at him. "I'm fine," she assured. "I'm just feeling kind of gross."

Scarlet felt the bed dip has Wolf sat down next to her.

"Are you sure you're okay? I feel like you've been sick a lot lately." Wolf said brushing a strand of hair from her eyes.

"Yeah, just a stomach bug." She said, patting her fiancee's hand.

***

The realization hit Iko so hard she almost impaled Cinder with a sewing needle.

"OW!" Cinder said as the needle pierced her skin. "Stars Iko, I didn't know you were that jealous about me marrying Kai!"

Iko rolled her eyes and remarked, "I'm so over him. Anyway, I don't crush on my friend's husbands."

"Pssh, I'm your first friend to get married." Cinder said, rolling her eyes right back at Iko.

"Hello? Scarlet and Wolf? They're getting married next month! And anyway, I think I know what's up with Scarlet." Iko said, her head swimming with the possibility. "You know what? I'll be right back. Pearl can finish your hemming."

Iko heard Cinder call out after her but she ignored her. She had a mission.

***

Scarlet was almost asleep watching some stupid cop show on the net (Wolf insisted it was awesome, but so far she didn't particularly believe him) when Iko burst into the room.

"Scarlet! We need to talk! Now. Like, right now!" Iko said frantically.

"Stars above, Iko. Calm down! What is it?" Scarlet said, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

Iko gestured to the bathroom while saying, "I think I know your problem."

After Iko had pulled her into the bathroom, Scarlet crossed her arms over her chest and said, "What."

"Scar, when did you last get your period."

Scarlet blushed and looked away. "How did you know?"

"Know what?" Iko said, obviously confused.

"How do you know my period is late? I should of had it by now!"

Iko licked her lips. "Scarlet. Have you and Wolf had sexual intercourse in the last month?"

Scarlet's face turned as red has her hair. "Ah...um...yes...sort of..possibly..." she stammered.

"Did you use a condom? Are you on birth control?" Iko listed, eyeing her suspiciously.

The realization dawned on Scarlet's face. "OH, shit. Are you saying I'm...pregnant?"

"Possibly...c'mon. Let's go to a nurse." Iko said placing a hand on her friends shoulder.

Chapter 4

Kenny hated to admit it, but he was pretty sure he was falling for a girl. And not just any girl but tall, sarcastic, funny and beautiful girl. Who happened to be an escort-droid. Who happened to be Iko herself.

Stars.

Above.

He might possibly be in love with a robot. And a malfunctioning robot at that.

At that moment Iko walked right past him.

Is it normal for a person's heart to beat that fast? Kenny finds himself wondering.

He shakes his head and continues his walk.

Chapter 5: Wedding

Kai paced the length of his room nervously. Technically this would be his second wedding but he preferred to block the first out of his memory. And this time, he wasn't wearing a red sash. Linh Cinder. The girl he had met at the market one day, when he went to get his android fixed. The girl with the messy brown hair and ever-present gloves. Sometimes Kai thought about what his life would have been like if he never met Cinder. If Selene had died in the fire like Levana had meant her to do, who would of Levana become? Would she be just as wicked or more so? Would Kai still have been forced to propose to her? Kai hated to think these horrible thoughts but they were always lingering at the edges of his mind.

A knock sounding at his door shook him from his thoughts. "Come in." He said, escepting to see a a guard or Torin waiting outside his chambers but instead found Iko her face bright with excitement.

"Kaikaikaikaikaikai!!!!!!!!" Iko squealed.

"Stars, Iko, whatever is the matter?" Kai said, placing his hands on her shoulders hoping to still the ecstatic android.

"Scarlet!" Iko practically screamed.

"What about her?" He said, eyeing Iko suspiciously.

"She's pregnant!" Iko said and wrapped her arms around the emperor while jumping for joy.

Kai hugged her right back and said extremely loudly, "That's amazing! Does Wolf know?"

Iko looked at Kai and remarked, "I didn't think it was possible for Wolf to smile that broadly!"

"Wow....that's great...that's just so amazing!" Kai said his mouth beginning to hurt from smiling so much.

"Well, I better go! I left Peony to work on Cinder's dress and I'm afraid if I'm gone too long they'll murder each other." Iko waved to Kai and skipped off, her blue braids swinging.

***

Cinder stood in front of the full length mirror taking in her reflection. She had never considered herself vain and rarely used a mirror in the first place other than to check her face for grease stains. But standing in front of the mirror in her wedding gown she couldn't tear her eyes away. The dress her best friend and stepsister had collaborated on had turned her from a dirty mechanic to a...well and empress. The dress was silver with a gold belt tied around her waist that flared out around the skirt of the dress enunciating her few curves. It was halter dress and Iko had showed her the gloves she made, which were extremely long, they went all the way up Cinder's arm and then curved around her shoulder. The gloves were fingerless except for the middle finger which was almost completely covered with the material.

Peony pinched Cinder on the arm, hard. "Stop gaping at yourself and let me practice on your hair." Peony snapped, pointing at a chair in the corner of the room.

Cinder nodded and sat down in the chair Peony had gestured at.

***

The day of the wedding had arrived and Iko was a bundle of nerves. She had gone to the kitchen multiple times to see how everything was going. She had volunteered to help clean the ballroom but the staff had shooed her away claiming "she was a guest" and that she "could just relax." Like that was going to happen.

Iko was outside making sure the pathway leading to the front steps of the place was clear when a voice called her name.

She turned to see Kenney with his hands stuck in looking awkward. "Are you okay?" He asked. "You look...frazzled."

Iko smoothed her hair back and said hurriedly, "Oh yeah, I'm fine. Just nervous."

Kenney squinted at her. "Why are you nervous? You're not the one getting married or on the wedding committee."

"Yeah well, I'm an android. That's basically what I was built for. Cleaning." Iko said, striding towards the door.

Kenney blushed and scratched the back of his head. "Right. I keep forgetting."

For some reason that made Iko furious. "Forgot I wasn't human, huh? Forgot I'm not perfect like you? Sorry that we can't all be like you! I bet you're embarrassed to be seen talking to me right now, right? Well stop talking to me and go join your clique of snobby, selfish, son of a bitch guards!" She spat and pushed past him leaving a trail of hot fury in her wake.

As Iko stormed to her chambers she mulled over her hissy-fit. Why was she so pissed? Oh yeah, probably because she might possibly be in love with him.

"This is not going to end well." She muttered to herself.

"What's not going to end well?" A meek voice said. Cress appeared at Iko's side worry etched in her features.

"Oh, it doesn't matter," Iko said, even though it meant everything. To her, that is. "What's up with you?" She said, changing the subject.

Cress looked at Iko solemnly and remarked, "When does a girl usually lose her virginity?"

Iko eyed her friend in surprise, "Why do you want to know?"

Cress blushed, her face turning a right crimson. "I think Thorne wants to...well, you know."

Iko's eyes widened. She opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by Peony.

"Iko! There you are, I've been looking all over! Do you seriously expect me to do all of Cinder's hair and makeup plus the outfit? I don't think so. So stop chit-chatting and come on!" She snapped, grabbing Iko's arm and pulling her in the other direction.

Iko cranes her head and and mouths "sorry" to Cress who shrugs and gives a half smile in response.

***

Winter sits in front of the mirror humming to herself. She leaned over and grabbed her pretty blue brush with the lovely flowers painted on.

"Today is my cousin's wedding," she said to herself. "I must look good because I hate to see my friends sad." She paused, sensing a presence. "Jacin? Come here." She said, without turning around. She heard Jacin's approaching footsteps so she turned around and smiled at him, her mouth stretched wide.

"I can never hide from you." he said, a soft smile playing on his lips.

"Would you want to?" Winter said, leaning in for a kiss.

Jacin places a sweet kiss on her lips before pulling away slightly, there noses touching. "No." he whispers.

Winter smiled than pushes away. "Help me with my hair will you?" she said hanging him hetr hair brush.

Jacin gaped at the brush in Winter's outstretched, making such a surprised face she can't seem to suppress her giggles.

Jacin grinned at Winter and said, "How about I keep watch instead."

Winter rolled her eyes and said, "Okay, Lazyhead."

***

Kai was hyperventilating. What if he somehow tripped over something walking up the aisle? What if his plans got all sweaty? Oh wait, he was going to be wearing gloves.

"I need air." He told the guard standing outside his bedroom.

Kai rushed to the gardens at top speed and when is face hit the cool, refreshing air he felt amazing. He suddenly noticed a lonely figure sitting on bench near the roses.

"Cinder?"He called.

She turned and her face breaks out into a huge smile. "Isn't it bad luck for a groom to see the bride on the wedding day."

Kai sat down next to her brushing a kiss against her cheek. "When have you ever brought me bad luck?" He replied.

Cinder just rolled her eyes at the irony. "So...."

Kai glanced at her. "So..."

"Making any regrets?" Cinder said peeking at him under her eyelashes.

"Marrying you? Never. I love you too much.

Tricia (triciakirbs) | 43 comments Aaaand the last bit (It couldn't all fit!)

Cinder suddenly pulled away and looked into his eyes. "Stars, you've turned me into a cheesy, cliche mess!"

"A beautiful , cheesy, cliche mess."

***

Cress cried. No, not cried. Sobbed. Big, fat tears rolled down her cheeks while she clutched Thorne's hand.

"Aces, you are emotional! What's to be sad about? Star-crossed lovers Cinder and Kai are getting married!" Thorne said, grinning down at her.

Cress pointed to her face and replied, "These are happy tears!"

"In that case," Thorne kissed the top of her head. "Keep crying. It's kind of...hot."

Cress blinked up at him. She wasn't hot. Cute, sure. Adorable, definitely. Hot? No way.

Thorne slipped his arm around her and said, "Hope you signed me up for every song. Because I don't want to get jealous!"

"Nope," Cress squeaked. "I don't dance."

Thorne nudges her shoulder, "I'll carry you out onto the dance floor kicking and screaming if it means I get one dance with you."

"Why do you make me love you so much?" Cress sighed.

Thorne laughed quietly. "I was just about to say the same."

***

As the thousand or so guests head to the ballroom for dinner and dancing, Iko lingered. When she sees a familiar blonde head moving through the crowd she rushed toward them.

"Kenny!" She called, slightly breathless.

He turned, his eyes cold. "What."

"Kenny, can we please talk?" she pleaded.

"Kenny cocks his head toward an empty hallway. "This way."

When they rounded the corner, Iko turned to face Kenny. "Kenny. I just wanted to polarize about how I acted this morning. I was stressed and I had all these thoughts going through my head about how much I like you and..." she was cut off by kenny suddenly rushing forward and pressing her to the wall. He buried his hands in her hair and kissed her hard. Iko kissed him back with just as much vengeance.

When they finally pulled apart, Kenny said weakly , "I had a feeling you'd be a good kisser."

Iko smiled at him. She knew the couldn't be together forever but for now Iko was king to stay in the here and now.

***

Cinder and Kai danced together, their hands intertwined. Cinder rested her head on her husbands shoulder. It was wet. Cinder reached up to touch her cheek and found herself crying.

"How..?" She whispered.

Ka looked down at her tear stained cheeks. "The flawed ones are always the best." he said.

Cinder wiped her cheek and said, "I love you."

"I love you too. I'd love you no matter what. Because you are a magician with mechanics, the best at comebacks, and the queen of sarcasm, New Beijing...and my heart." And with that Cinderella and Prince Charming embraced and lived happily ever after.

THE END
