Fauna Lorelaine | 6 comments This needs to be deleted, I didn't realize that I had uploaded twice as I got an error the first time.

lethe | 13560 comments Deleted. Please provide the ISBN for the remaining edition, it was entered in the isbn-10 field and the last 3 digits dropped off.

Fauna Lorelaine | 6 comments Do I add in the prefix? Or the epub isbn

message 4: by lethe (new)

lethe | 13560 comments I don't know what you mean by prefix. These:

are the first 10 digits of an ISBN-13. The last three are missing.

Fauna Lorelaine | 6 comments I just want to enter the ISBN, do I need to enter the ISBN 13 digit? Which is associated with my Kobo title or do I provide my Amazon ISBN since I have an ISBN for epub and mobi.

message 6: by Arenda (new)

Arenda | 19906 comments Amazon/Kindle editions are listed with the ASIN (not the isbn). I have added the Kindle edition:

message 7: by Arenda (new)

Arenda | 19906 comments What is the isbn for the epub?
Isbn's and isbn13's are linked (and can be/are converted into each other). Isbn13 always starts with 978.

message 8: by Fauna (new)

Fauna Lorelaine | 6 comments epub - 978-0-9949818-1-3
mobi - 978-0-9949818-0-6

message 9: by Arenda (new)

Arenda | 19906 comments Corrected the isbn on the epub = ebook edition:
Mobi = Kindle is on Goodreads with the ASIN from Amazon (not the isbn):

Fauna Lorelaine | 6 comments I'm pulling my ASIN off AMAZON -

So if someone wants to go click the links that are on my GR book page, if they click the link that says Amazon CA... Shouldn't that take you to my book link on Amazon?

I'm really confused as to how this works

message 11: by Arenda (new)

Arenda | 19906 comments The bookseller links on the GR book page are different for each user.
When someone has a link to Amazon, and they are on the page of the Kindle edition, the ASIN will make sure it links to your book on Amazon.

Your book is now correctly added to Goodreads.
If you have further questions about how Goodreads works, you'd better ask these in the Author Feedback Group, as librarians only can help to correct book records.

Fauna Lorelaine | 6 comments I'm confused as to why there are two links, one for each format?

Should these not be the same link for people to find my book? they just click on the Amazon link for Kindle and the Kobo link for epub?

message 13: by lethe (new)

lethe | 13560 comments Each edition gets its own page on GR, but it is combined with the other editions:

It is not possible to have more than one edition in one record. Every ISBN and every ASIN needs a separate page.
