In December we will be reading the Middle School & Children's winner, The Blood of Olympus as a group. Have you read any of the other nominees for the Middle School & Children's award? Which have you read and what did you think? Did it deserve to be nominated? Which was your favorite? Do you plan to read any of them in the future? Discuss here!

Apart from the winner I haven't read any of this years nominees.

I do want to read The School for Good and Evil series, which I'll be doing next year as #3 in the trilogy is a nominee for this year's awards.

I haven't either, Lynn. I don't tend to read a lot of middle school books, unless I have a reason (such as being a GR Choice Awards nominee!).

Wallis Chan | 1 comments The 'Magisterium' series is fantastic. I've read most of them on this list.

Janina (sylarana) | 692 comments I think my daughter has read most of them. I tend to find middle school books a little too childlike to really love them. Rick Riordan is fun (but also a bit too young). I've been thinking of trying Land of Stories or the Good & Evil series, but I always find something else I'd rather read.
