"I have met some of your siblings actually… They're pretty nice, I guess," Astra replied with a slight frown.

message 302: by [deleted user] (new)

"You have that's awesome! Then why are you frowning? Did Alex act like a jerk and then Ally saved him from you beating him up? That happens a lot" She said

message 303: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yes, but we managed to have a civilized chat," Astra answered, forcing a smile. "And I don't smile a lot. That's all."

message 304: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh okay sorry for asking. Ally and lyssa keep him so he doesn't get beat up every day. Anyways do you like to read or are you just doing your homework?" Lyla said toning down her excitement

Venice hummed as she wound around through a few bookshelves. She wanted to look up the myth of the Snow Queen, which concerned her mother. It was interesting to see what people thought about her. She had heard the story from her mother's point of view but would have liked to see it from the other side.

"I'm reading. Again, just doing research on Earth. It would be a good place to settle down while the new base is being built," Astra answered quickly.

message 307: by [deleted user] (new)

Venice turned as another girl approached her. "Oh. Hi!" she said with a sunny smile.

message 308: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh I thought you were doing research for a project but that makes more sense. I'm reading just for fun not research or homework" She said trying to process what she said fully through her head

message 309: by [deleted user] (new)

"It is partially research," Astra said with a sigh. "After all, I'm new to this planet. Why I couldn't have just gone to the pilot academy on Corellia beats me, but you know how parents are."

Kaitlyn ~Juliet~ wrote: ""Hi! I'm Arabelle. Do you need help finding a book? I know the dewey decimal system inside and out.""

"Yes, actually," Venice said. "Where can I find a book about the myth of the Snow Queen? It's by Han Christian Anderson."

message 311: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh, I'm just looking a few things about my mother," Venice explained. She selected one of the books. "Thank you."

"Yeah I do I don't understand why they sent me here at such a early age unlike everyone else who comes here when they are older" she flipped her braid and rolled her eyes again

message 313: by [deleted user] (new)

"You're pretty lucky, you know. I mean, you have siblings to help you fit in. I'm just the weird girl from the other side of the galaxy," Astra told her with a sigh. "I miss the stars. Is that weird? I miss fiery masses of gas."

message 314: by [deleted user] (new)

- Kaitlyn -

"I'm Venice," Venice said. "Who are you?" She wanted to be friends with this girl.

message 315: by [deleted user] (new)

"You have a pretty name," Venice observed with a grin.

message 316: by [deleted user] (new)

"Belle?" Venice guessed. "That's why you like books so much, isn't it?"

message 317: by [deleted user] (new)

"Your not weird your unique I'm unique and so is everyone else. I think it is cool that I basically know a alien people who don't think that are just" she paused "buttfaces"

message 318: by [deleted user] (new)

"I can be your friend," Venice offered. "I like books too. Which are your favorites? I like mythological stories, mostly."

message 319: by [deleted user] (new)

-Wisegirl-

"I'm not an alien. I'm a human, just like you," Astra protested. "I just prefer stars to people."

message 320: by [deleted user] (new)

-Kaitlyn-

"What about science fiction?" Venice asked. "I like Ray Bradbury."

message 321: by [deleted user] (new)

-Kaitlyn-

"So have you read The Hunger Games? Or Divergent?" Venice inquired.

message 322: by [deleted user] (new)

-raven-

"I know that's why I said basically. The stars are probably better than people. Some people suck beans" she said crossing her arms

message 323: by [deleted user] (new)

- Wisegirl-

"You know what, I like you. You're okay, I guess. Not like everyone else," Astra told her. "You know what? I think I will tell you who my parents are. Maybe later. People tend to react badly when they hear who my father is."

message 324: by [deleted user] (new)

- Kaitlyn -

"Oh, Divergent is okay, but Hunger Games is much better," Venice said.

message 325: by [deleted user] (new)

"It's on my to-read list, but I wasn't able to yet. Currently I've been reading Flowers for Algernon," Venice replied with a grin.

message 326: by [deleted user] (new)

"It's an interesting story and it has a lot of psychology," Venice said eagerly.

message 327: by [deleted user] (new)

"Really who are they?" She asked excitedly. "I won't react badly to who your father is after all I don't think people should be like their parents because they are themselves and only themselves"

message 328: by [deleted user] (new)

- Wisegirl -

"I mean, the First Order is still rising, and… Um… Well, have you heard of Kylo Ren?" Astra asked, growing a little tense.

- Kaitlyn -

"While you're taking book recommendations, I've also read The Confidence Game. It's also about the mind and how we think," Venice suggested.

message 329: by [deleted user] (new)

- Kaitlyn -

"No one's really asked about my history before," Venice said sheepishly. "I was created when the first snowflake of the year fell from the sky… The Snow Queen, my mother, turned it into an ice sculpture, and breathed life into it. Into me, really."

message 330: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm sure you have some interesting hobby or something," Venice replied with a smile.

message 331: by [deleted user] (new)

-raven-

"Oh yeah I have but I'm not really supposed to know about him my mother wants to keep all that a secret. That's cool! I know the first order is evil" she used air quotations when she said evil "and all but least your part of something that is gonna be strong and not just gonna fail"

message 332: by [deleted user] (new)

- Kaitlyn -

"I like roses too. But frozen ones, because they last longer," Venice said.

- Wisegirl -

"The problem with the strong and not failing part is that our base, Starkiller base was blown up by the Resistance," Astra replied. "So… the First Order kind of failed."

message 333: by [deleted user] (new)

-Raven-

Oh I didn't know that. How did they fail?" Lyla said stomping her foot in annoyance

message 334: by [deleted user] (new)

- Kaitlyn -

"Yeah. I can make roses out of ice. Want to see?" Venice asked, eager to show off her powers.

- Wisegirl -

"We were… literally blown up," Astra said, feeling awkward. "The thermal oscillator was bombed by the Resistance and things went boom."

message 335: by [deleted user] (new)

Venice took the moment to slowly form an ice rose. The flower grew, petal by petal, in her open palm until it had created a glistening, sparkling flower. "It's fragile," Venice said, admiring her work. "Do you want to hold it?"

message 336: by [deleted user] (new)

"Do you want to keep it? I can make it so that it never melts," Venice said happily, glad that she had created something beautiful. She handed over the ice rose.

message 337: by [deleted user] (new)

Venice nodded, and a few sparkling snowflakes seemed to melt out of her palm. They settled on the rose and made it glow a bright blue. The glow faded and the rose went back to its normal state.

message 338: by [deleted user] (new)

Venice tried to steady her breathing. Magic usually took a lot out of her, and making something as detailed as the rose in a short amount of time was pretty hard for her. "It won't melt now," she breathed. "Like, ever."

message 339: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah, I'm fine," Venice said dizzily. She felt a bit woozy, but of course she wouldn't admit that. She wanted people to think she was strong and in control of herself.

message 340: by [deleted user] (new)

Venice stumbled over to a chair and sat down gratefully, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "I'm sure I'll be fine," she said softly. "Sometimes magic is a little hard to use. Do you have any powers?"

message 341: by [deleted user] (new)

((not unless you choose to give her some))

message 342: by [deleted user] (new)

((maybe being able to… I don't know, a super photographic memory or something like that?))

message 343: by [deleted user] (new)

"Cool! I wish I could do that. It would come in handy when you're taking a test- or remembering a book," Venice told her jealously.

message 344: by [deleted user] (new)

"What's it like, having a brother?" Venice asked curiously.

message 345: by [deleted user] (new)

"Sometimes I wish I had a sibling," Venice said with a sigh.

message 346: by [deleted user] (new)

"You're serious?" Venice laughed.

message 347: by [deleted user] (new)

Venice laughed. "I like to meet him someday. He sounds pretty cool."

message 348: by [deleted user] (new)

-Raven

"Did you see it happen? Are you guys planning a revenge or just gonna let the resistance win" she asked

message 349: by [deleted user] (new)

- Wisegirl -

"Oh, we are bringing them down!" Astra said angrily. "But right now we're still building. It'll probably take a year until the project is done."

message 350: by [deleted user] (new)

"Dang it want to see them be taken down now" She stomped her feet and crossed her arms
