i mostly agree with heather. this book was just stupidthe explanation as to why bella could have a baby didn't make any scientific sense (not even a little)
and i know that it doesn't have to, but i wouldn't be irritated if bella hadn't tried to explain it using science! (you know, the whole "bodies changing" thing)
also, bella becoming a vampire was SO STUPID! like heather said, there should've been a price tag for having a vampire baby and becoming a vampire
everyone else in the cullens had one
but oh no, not Bella! bella is so FRICKIN' perfect that she has got to get the easy way out of EVERYTHING!
in a good book, the main character has to sacrifice things, someone has to get hurt.
but not in this book, because we are in la-la land where everything ends up okay and you don't have to give up anything to become a vampire and have kids with a guy you've been married to for a week.
this is a fictional book where anything can happen. but you have your opinion and i have mine... im not getting into this again lol
Ok I guess I don't understand what you mean when you say the science of the baby doesn't make sense. Men can father babies in their seventies. If a man is healthy his reproductive system never quits and does not require his body to ever change to be fertile. A woman however has to change monthly to be fertile and eventually every woman quits producing eggs and is no longer fertile. There fore the frozen vampire thing only effects a female vampire's reproductive system and furthermore a female vampire couldn't change to accommodate a pregnancy.I guess I don't see how that doesn't make sense.....
Bella did too have a price tag...she has to leave behind her human friends like Angela and yeah sure she gets to see Charlie but not for long she has to leave soon and what about Renee? Yeah and she didn't go through the whole Newborn thing but she was also the only one out of all the Cullens who CHOSE to become a vampire....everyone else had no idea what was happening to them and t came as a huge shock. Plus Alice didn't have that hard a time at all...she saw the Cullens and always knew she would be like them so it was easier for her.
Bella made sacrifices...she sacrificed her human life for her child. Jacob got hurt, Edwrad got hurt and yes it did turn out for the best but that is also true with 90% of YA fiction. It is that tie up nicely thing at the end that makes it YA fiction. I recently read a YA novel Bliss and the ending was not happy and did not work out at all and almost everyone I know who read it had a problem with that ending. It's human nature...we generally wanna see a happy ending. If it's wrong for this book to have a happy ending what about the others...should James have killed Bella in the first one? Should Edward have died in the second one? Should Victoria had won in the third one? See we like a happy ending =)
And as far as the having to give up something to have kids and get married why does Bella have to give something up for that? In real life people get married and have kids everyday and are happy and they didn't have to give up anything...they just gain a lot.

LOL i actually do that sometimes too
LOL i actually do that sometimes too
Bella really didn't care for her friends once she started to date Edward. So that wasn't much of a sacrifice. And Bella didn't sacrifice her human life for her child, she wanted to become a vamp so she wouldn't grow old while Edward remained young. And not only did she become a vamp, but she also got a power on top of it. I've read Bliss and i didn't like the ending because someone died and a lot of other creepy things. If the ending was different and still didn't have a happy ending maybe i would have liked it. I'm just saying that bella didn't have to sacrifice much at all.
True I see your points Jenny....I guess I was going off the books where Bella says she's sad she'd never see Angela again. (Don't ask me exactly where that is I just remember it LOL) and you are right she did want to become a vampire with Edward but I guess I meant the way she did become a vamp meant her sacrificing her human life for Nessie...does that make sense? Yeah and she did get powers but she already had a form of them in her human life. Anywho I just have to defend the Twilight Saga...It's my fav! =) I'm not trying to be mean or anything it's just my opinion
Your not being mean, i love to talk about this kind of stuff. Well, you can say that she sacrificed her human life for Nessie, but i don't believe that it was such a sacrifice due to the fact that she got what she wanted. Edward made a deal with her, marriage for sex (i think that was the deal) And she got the sex, which led to having a child, which led to her becoming a vamp. For Bella, that was probably like shooting three birds with one stone. Again, I just think that she got what she wanted and more.
Yeah I can agree with that Bella did get a pretty sweet deal...I guess I can also agree with the sacrifice not being that big but I can't agree with the whole no sacrifice equals a bad book thing...i still love the book =)
Hey we can't all love Twilight...other authors would go broke if that was the case LOL
yea, but i do like the fact that their were two main guys in the story so i can debate with ppl who was the better choice. i like that.
yeah that is good...hey so what is you fav book?
ummm, idk. ive read a lot of good books but...idk. i dont think that i have a fav book. how about u?
well twilight (of course) But i also really like the Lisa McMann books,Wake and Fade. I like Harry Potter. and as far as others I really liked The Giver, almost anything Tudor, and well there are a lot
hehe, u read harry potter (no offense) um...by tudor do u mean like the old Renaissance family named tudor? (or somethin like that)
well hey i got to run...thanks for all the discussions..=) they were fun I'm sure I'll catch on here again BYE!

i agree one hundred percent missy. And Jenny, to answer your question Heather and I had a debate as well in this discussion. so just read the comments back and forth lol. i love to debate so i'll give my opinion again. i loved the book. Missy is right on the whole male/ female fertile thing. so there really isnt another way to explain why bella got pregnant. that was the scientific explaination. there wasnt much of a price for bella because, unlike normal ppl, she wanted all of the things that happened to her. so i get all your opinions and to some i agree and to some i dont but i respect them all. everybody deserves to have an opinion lol =)
That's why Felicia is awesome to debate with =)
Yeah well ladies I gotta go thanks for all the chat...see ya!
Breaking Dawn to me sucked. Bella made me so angry when she lunged for Jacob's throat. And the Ending sucked. Too Happy. I wanted a little depression, sadness, death...not being pessimistic but the ending was unrealistic. Even for Fantasy.
Blah.
Blah.
bella never really liked her human life as far as im concernedher true friends were the cullens
her one true love was edward cullen
and while she loved her family, the cullens could make up for it to some extent
she just got everything she wanted.
and aside from that, the FAMOUS FIGHT SCENE!
am i the only one here that feels ripped-off that there was only a "debate" at the end? Pretty anti-climatic if you ask me...
