Can anyone suggest books that are similar to this? Nature-horror themed, like how some animals and insects can be a threat to humanity. I've been trying to look for similar books but I haven't found any, recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Not familiar with Micro. These are the best I can come up with: The Andromeda Strain, Prey, and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham
There is the movie Arachnophobia, but I don't think there is a book.
If you want people shrinking there is Fantastic Voyage by Asimov although this is based on the film and there is a sequel!I'm not sure it's really nature/horror but there is always Starship Troopers by Heinlein other than that I draw a blank.
Not so much as nature/horror as nature fighting back, but there is Phase 4 by Barry Maltzberg or The Green Brain by Frank Herbert. Both novels about insects becoming intelligent through hive minds. Though these might be pre-1970.
