Solstice was standing on the stage, singing. The auditorium was currently empty, which made her feel more confident about her singing.
"You bought a star in the sky tonight
Because your life is dark and it needs some light
You named it after me, but I’m not yours to keep

Solstice kept singing. This was her favorite song.

Sol started when she saw Kristal watching her. "Oh. I'm sorry, did you want to practice?" she asked. "I… I was just singing…" she stammered, feeling quite embarrassed. She generally had backup music, and she was blushing with self-consciousness.

"Th-thank you," Solstice stammered, smoothing her jacket. "Do you play an instrument?" she asked, gaining a little confidence. "Maybe we could do a song together."

"Would you like to try?" Solstice asked. "There's one right there," she said, gesturing to a piano. "Wait, I haven't even got your name! I'm Solstice, what about you?" she asked, blushing from embarrassment. Solstice was socially awkward with people she didn't know, and she knew it.

"Sol. Short for Solstice," Solstice replied with a grin. "So who are your parents?" she asked.
Mod
Solstice felt a bit awkward in the presence of a hero. "My father is Dr. Facillier," she mumbled. "And I don't know why my mom is."

"I… I don't remember her at all. It's quite strange…" Solstice trailed off. "But… But thank you," she said with a grin. "Do you have ice powers?"

"I see dead people," Solstice said, more to herself than Kristal. "And I can do voodoo… Though that's not quite hard."

"Almost driven me to insanity," Solstice said with a grin. "But I deal with it. Thanks for the encouragement. Could you show me how you do the snow magic?" she asked, curious.

"Sure!" Kristal said excited that someone was actually interested "What do you want me to make?"

Solstice thought for a moment. "Anything, really. Whatever you want."

"Ok" Kristal said. She thought for a second, then gasped joyfully and smiled. She magically created a snowflake necklace for Sol and handed it to her. "Here, it's for you"

Then the new girl, Candie, walked into the auditorium. "um.. Hi I'm Candie. I'm new. Somebody told me to come to the aud." Candie said
if you guys don't want me to join just tell me. I wont message any more for the story

"How about the violin?" Solstice suggested. "That would go well with the piano and voice parts." She fiddled with the microphone in front of her nervously, hoping she had said the right thing. "What songs do you guys know?" she asked.

"Gee… Um…" Solstice tried to think about something that everyone had heard. Well, maybe not everyone. Maybe just her. But she didn't know. "How… How about we do… Radioactive? By Imagine Dragons," she said nervously.

Solstice took her place with a quick sigh. She hoped she did okay...
