Nell My MCT goal for 2016 is to read 12 books that won or were finalists for a mystery award - Agatha, Edgar, Macavity, Anthony, et al.

Portia Good idea, Nell. that should be fun. Have you chosen the books yet or are you still savoring your choices?

message 3: by Nell (last edited Jan 01, 2016 05:07AM) (new)

Nell Both. I do have a few in mind that I definitely intend to read: Ordinary Grace, Black Water Rising and Louise Penny's Armand Gamache series which is nominated each year for multiple awards.

Nell I enjoyed this one. It' a Downton Abbey type setting and time period where the lady of the manor and the housekeeper team-up to solve the murder. It was nominated for best first mystery.

Nell I accomplished my goal: reading 12 books that were finalists or winners of mystery book awards. But I didn't read any of the books that I had planned to read in msg #3. So I will be doing this challenge again in 2017. There are lots of great mysteries waiting for me including Louise Penny's award winning series.
