Mackenzie Putici | 3 comments Hello, I am learning Romanian, and often I like to start reading in a new language with graphic novels in that language in order to get assistance from the pictures but also to understand the culture better. In French I have read TinTin, Italian Corto Maltese, but in Romanian I have not been able to find much. They can be standalone graphic novels or series.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Învăț limbă română acum și am călătorit in jurul țarei anul acesta.

You can check this out: http://www.harapalbcontinua.ro/. Harap Alb is a character in a Romanian fairy tale, which these guys turned into a graphic series hero.

Roxana (divaroxie) Hi Putici,

That's very nice of you to do this! I love graphic novels as well. Have you read The Complete Persepolis (Persepolis, #1-4) by Marjane Satrapi or The Complete Maus (Maus, #1-2) by Art Spiegelman . They are absolutely beautiful!

Regarding romanian graphic novels I recommend you Harap Alp Continua as well. It's a monthly (I think) magazine.

Mackenzie Putici | 3 comments Thanks a lot! Harap Alb looks really cool, I want to buy the pack of 19 for 76 lei but the shipping to Toronto is 300 lei

Mackenzie Putici | 3 comments I have Persepolis in Romanian by the way, but I have not read it all yet and Maus I read in English but it might be worth reading again in a new language.

Mulțumesc foarte mult
