Hoping to finish The Woman in White tonight or tomorrow, it great. I held off on reading The Godfather for years because I had seen the movie countless times. It was a mistake to wait the book is fantastic, in some ways better than the movie. Good luck with the rest of your list I have yet to posted my thread.

Liz (lizvegas) | 11 comments Thanks. I'm still working out the rest of my list, but I've had The Woman in White and The Godfather on my TBR for ages. I hope to finally get to them this year.

Liz (lizvegas) | 11 comments Why do I keep putting all these books off? They always seemed to get shoved to the side for something different.

Must.read.them.in.2016. :)

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1791 comments Oh! I read two books by Hardy this year--these were my first reads of this author.

I hope to read at lest one more of his titles next year.

Same here. I have so many books that I mean to read each year, but don't ever seem to get to them. These challenges help me a bit, but I still delay books. At least I'll always have something to look forward to.

Good luck with your choices. I've read and loved the first 4 books on your list.

Huge fan of A Prayer for Owen Meany! Hope you love it. Great list.

message 16: by Desertorum (new)

Desertorum I´m also very curious about Owen Meany...it´s just that the religious aspect might have scared me away from it. I´m looking froward your thoughts about it!

message 17: by Laurie (new)

Laurie | 1595 comments The religious aspects in Owen Meany aren't preachy or off-putting. At least I didn't think so and I am not at all religious, so I look out for that.
