Haley S (haleyjs) The summary to the novel I am currently working on!

Kidnapped Love

Set in the 1870s, follow the story of Olivia Marshall who lived in the country by her family and had always had a normal life. She never expected an adventure when she met a man named Asher Crown. He had been running away from a group of bandits that he left and never wanted to go back. When Olivia got kidnapped, he had no choice but to find his way back to them to rescue her. Both hearts became involved and they never expected to fall in love…until their love is kidnapped.

Haley S (haleyjs) Why not post the prologue too?

Marcus pushed Julie, his newly wedded bride, behind his back as Daren pulled a gun on them.
“How dare you betray me? You took the oath of secrecy. Now you want to leave because you fell in love.” Daren’s voice held no sympathy. “Love, Marcus, is no reason to leave this group. This is probably the first girl you ever met! You are only nineteen. You will have plenty of chances with girls. Do you remember the day you joined? You promised never to betray me. To betray this.” Daren waved his gun in the direction of their campsite.
Marcus stood up straighter, “Yes, Daren, it is. And even though I am only nineteen I know love when I feel it. She may be only eighteen but trust me when I tell you she is a real woman. Maybe if you ever met a real woman before you would know the feeling. All you have ever done is live in a tent with no one but men for company. Plus, the only ladies you have met with are girls at a saloon. And they don’t even count as real ladies.”
Daren’s jaw twitched, “How dare you insult me. I am your superior.”
Even though Daren’s temper rose, Marcus stayed perfectly calm. “Actually, you are not anymore. I am leaving but I am not betraying you. Your secret will stay safe with me and Julie. But if you hunt us down, I will personally kill you with my bare hands.”
Julie whimpered and Daren sneered, “Fine, go runaway with your bride. Let us see how long that will last. I will leave you be. But I promise you, there will be revenge whether you like it or not.”
Marcus started to stay something but Daren cut in, waving his gun at him, “Get out, now. And don’t come back.”
Marcus turned around, grabbing Julie’s hand and his pistol, and stalked towards his horse with his head high. He put his hands on Julie’s waist and boosted her up on his horse and then he straddled his horse. Marcus, up front, and Julie, behind, with her arms wrapped around him, rode out of the campsite, looking straight ahead. Not behind them, towards the past. But forward, towards the future.

Twenty Years Later

“No, I will not!” twenty year old Asher shouted in Ethan’s direction, not afraid of anyone hearing him anymore. “What we are doing is wrong. I can’t do this anymore. What Nathaniel said is true.”
Ethan turned around to face him once again. “If you will not do what I want you to do, you will have to leave. That is the way we do it in this camp. You follow my rules, not your own.”
“Fine, I’m leaving. I’ll pack my bags today.”
“Good, you weren’t a good part of this group. You always had to second guess yourself and that is not something we can do. And remember, if you let any secrets out, I will have to hunt you down. You know what happens once I find you. Remember, Johnny? That will be you.”
Johnny was part of the group before he decided he couldn’t do it anymore. He thought stealing and killing was wrong. Asher, before now, thought it was fine and was one of the men who hunted him. Johnny let out secrets to the sheriffs and when the bandits found him, the killed him. They hung him on a tree just outside of town.
He shook himself, he would not let that happen to him. He would make sure he never saw them again. No matter what. After weeks of searching for a way out, he finally found one. And he swore to himself that he would never see them again.
All of the men glanced at him as he passed them by to get to his tent. He would leave tonight and not look back. In a matter of five minutes, he had packed up all his belongs, not that much, and found his horse. Mounting his horse, Asher road away from camp, this time, not second guessing himself.

Haley S (haleyjs) Okay, so here is a Christmas poem, I wrote. There may be some grammatical errors. I just wrote it today. ;)

That Important Night

Stars shined bright that night, every one of them twinkling;
The wind was as soft as the music it made.
Though the night was dark, it was as bright as the sun.
For a baby had been born, whose name was Jesus.
This special baby was born in a stable,
Surrounded by the animals that this lone barn had held.
Smiling down on Him, Joseph and Mary rejoiced.
For on that important night, their child had been born to save the world.

Also that night, shepherds tended to their sheep.
Surprised they were, when an angel showed up,
Telling of the good news which everyone should hear.
“Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of Dave a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you;
You shall find the babe wrapping in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.”
Once this was spoken, a multitude of angels praised God saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,
And peace on earth, good will toward men.”
The shepherds conversed, wondering what to do.
Soon they decided to visit this babe.
After seeing the important child name Jesus, they spread the good news.
For on that important night, a child had been born to save the world.

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem,
Wise men came to Jerusalem.
They asked around, searching for the child.
They spoke of a star, shining brightly in the east
They wanted to worship the King of the Jews.
But greatly troubled, Herod became.
For when he heard them talking, he also wanted to find Jesus.
Not for the same reason, though, he wanted to see Him.
Instead of worshipping, he plan was killing.
The magi left for the east, following the star.
Travel, they did, until they found the young child.
They worshipped and gave him their wonderful treasures.
Gold, frankincense, and myrrh were laid at His feet.
But being warned by God in a dream during that night,
They did not return to Herod again.
For on that important night, a child had been born to save the world.

Jesus was born, already a Savior;
He was born, already a sacrifice.
For after years had passed, He was brought into custody
And though He was not guilty, he died on the cross, saving the world.
Three days later, the stone rolled away.
He rose again, going up to Heaven.
For years before, Joseph and Mary had held him.
For on that important night, a child had been born to save the world.

Haley S (haleyjs) And I am currently, writing another Christmas poem! I will post that one soon!

Haley S (haleyjs) It’s Christmas Tonight!

All around, the smell of Christmas fills the air.
The bakery is busy, orders being filled,
As vendors pop their corn, while eating their share.
Booths, selling hot chocolate, are warming the chilled.
The aroma of all is wonderful, quite right;
For throughout all this, it’s Christmas tonight!

Everywhere, the feel of Christmas is all around.
Snow drifts down, so slowly, taking its time;
Around the corner, there is also a snow mound.
The snowflakes are magical, always a different type.
The coldness of winter is here all right;
For throughout all this, it’s Christmas tonight!

To the left, to the right, the sound of Christmas is all here.
People walk the streets, singing the joyful songs,
While children run and play, without any fear;
All ages are excited, when the bell loudly bongs.
The noise all around is not because of fright;
For throughout all this, it’s Christmas tonight!

Up and down, there and back, the sight of Christmas is not a shock.
The Christmas tree in street’s center is filled with lights;
The star is bright upon the tree, not ever failing to rock,
Like a band, enrapturing attention, never ending during the night.
The view of the tree is quite bright;
For throughout all this, it’s Christmas tonight!

Here and there, the taste of Christmas is hanging in the sky
The savory ham melts in the mouth;
The sweet and salty is there then gone like a fly.
The taste will last east, west, north, and south.
The flavor is so wonderful, it will never die;
For throughout all this, it’s Christmas tonight!

Haley S (haleyjs) Here is a song I am writing/wrote.
The idea started a while ago but I wrote more now...

I put the key in the car and start driving away,
Hoping and praying all the pain will go away.
I start out the window in a silent way
And then I burst out.

Is this my destiny?
Since it feels so right
I hope I'm not wrong
If it's not my destiny then guide me back home
But if I am right....
My destiny
Is far from home

Haley S (haleyjs) My Dream Guy

People may call me a flirt;
Yes, that probably is true.
But when I dream of you,
I dream of only you.

Yes, I have many crushes,
More that you can imagine.
But, when it comes to you,
I know that you are the one,
The only one for me.

I cannot say
What you look like;
I have my dreams, yes,
But when it comes to you
I don’t care what you look like.
In my eyes, you will be beautiful.
Even if you have cuts and bruises,
You will always be the love of my life.
