Louise (atrixa) I really enjoyed reading this! I know that epilogues are rather controversial in literature but I've always had a soft spot for them. I felt like it wrapped everything up nicely.

Ohh, I just finished it!! :)
I really think it picked up after the drama with Bulstrode - it (almost) became a page turner.
No doubt it is an epic work of fiction and I really enjoyed it, especially the humour which was So on point! To me though, and this goes for all 19th century litt I've read (I think), it is too 'detached' to get me really involved - it may be the manners of the characters or the writing style (although Eliot in parts seem almost contemporary), but it's like it doesnt feel so 'deep' to me... quite controversial, Im sure :)

But Im so glad I've read it - and Im feeling all kinds of proud right now :)
