I just finished "The House at Riverton" this morning. While I'm not a big fan of Gothic novels, this was well written with interesting, believable characters. It reminded me of "Water For Elephants" but only because the main character, Grace, is in a nursing home and looking back on her life as a house/personal servant during the early part of the 20th century. I thought the characters were believable, and the settings moved the story along well. While this isn't my number 1 pick for the summer, I would certainly recommend it to others.
