idk what to do either.)

message 54: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments The smile stayed at Angel's lips. She had turned back to look at Mayrose, "Take care and know I'm there for you."

((Hope Mayrose didn't pick up on the bit of white about the two during the 'healing'. But then that's cool, we can run with it.))

"Alright I will."She said.

message 56: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments Angel nodded, "Good. Take care," she called out before turning and beginning to walk away heading for home and her mom.

message 57: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments Angel had gone home to the apartment where she lived with her mother. On opening the door she saw that her mother was laying on couch, wearing nothing more than a robe with a glass of with a glass of white wine before her on the living room table.

Mrs. Carmichael looked over at the door where her daughter stood there. "I see you've returned. How was things?"

"Fine mom. You finished with work? If so, I'll prepare our dinner," Angel said waiting for her mother's next words.

Mrs. Carmichael took up the glass, swirled it once twice and then sipped at it. She glanced at her daughter noticing she was indeed quite the beautiful girl, much as she herself was. "Of course I'm done for the day." she said airilly.

"All right then, I'll also prepare your bath first and then fix dinner." Angel spoke heading off to the bathroom where she did just that.

It didn't take long and with her mother having a long soak, Angel fixed their dinner. Her thoughts on Mayrose, hoping she was now all right. Hopefully she was.

message 58: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments Angel had entered the apartment she shared with her mother. Funny it felt as if she'd been gone for seconds not as long as it had been. But she saw her mother asleep on the sofa and she wondered.

Angel didn't want to bother her mother about her absence and so had moved off to her room where she changed into her pajamas and went to sleep.

Though for some reason, sleep eluded her, her mind was filled with questions. Why did those strangers take her from her home? And that James person, such a doofus saying he owned her like she was some kind of dog. She really didn't like that. And on another note, she hoped Mayrose would be all right now.

Angel truly felt the girl because of her grief. Hopefully it wouldn't again lead her down the path of self destruction. Angel didn't want that. She was...afraid for her.

Her eyes grew heavy then and all thoughts seem to slip as sleep crowded her mind. Soon enough she fell asleep.

message 65: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments The thing with walking down the streets was that one never knew who may come upon them, but now Angel was a lot more aware of her surroundings. Whatever happened happened at home, how she still had no idea. Besides here was where she first met Mayrose - that was a high point in her normal routine of life.

Angel didn't mind the walk, she figured this was nothing compared to if she decided to stay home when her mother brought home her... work. Not like last time when she started to 'blossom'.

The gentleman hitting on her and Angel's mother having to protect her daughter. Angel shuddered at the thought. She didn't ever want that to happen ever again.

William Coulson was walking through the streets, looking for the girl named Angel Carmichael. SHIELD had sent him, as the organization felt like their closeness in age would make it easier for the girl to trust. Will continued on until he saw Angel, walking up toward her. The awkward teenage boy persona was not an act, as he was quite awkward. "Um, excuse me," he said meekly, his hands in his pockets and his shoulders raised a bit, "I was wondering if you're Angel?" he asked her, looking down and blushing a little. "You see, I'm in your English class, Ms. Grant," he told her, smiling a little. It wasn't a complete lie. He had attended all of her classes the previous day to get a feel of what she was like. "I just was wondering if you understood the instructions for the essay? I forgot to grab the paper that told us what it is, and since it's due in two days..." he trailed off, glancing away. "I'm screwed without your help."

message 67: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments On seeing the boy, Angel grew a bit hesitant. It wasn't like she wasn't used to meeting people from school but they were mainly girls. She tended run from books since they looked at her like she was a piece of meat and they a hungry wolf. But his question about the essay assignment kept her from outright fleeing the boy. Well, that and he was cute in a shy awkward sort of way.

"Huh what," was the first thing that came out of her mouth. "The essay assignment? UM, well sure, I guess."Her eyes widened, showing the light blueness of their depth. She knew many of the students did that wanting to wait before the very last minute and realizing they'd forgot the actual paper. Luckily, Angel was a good student - her goal to go to a good medical school and become a doctor.

With a little shake of her head, her hand going into the pocket of her jeans, she'd removed a copy of said assignment paper. "This would be it. I always make copies for such an emergency. I hope this helps you. You can't afford to not complete it as this assignment is important." She stared at him curiously, "You need help with it?" She would wait to see what he does.

Will listened to Angel as she talked about the assignment and he smiled while she explained it. She took the assignment out of her pocket, which was pretty damn impressive if you asked him, giving him the paper. "Thank you," he genuinely smiled, looking at her in the eye. Her big, perfectly blue eyes. Will blushed and looked down, folding the paper and slipping it into his back pocket. "If it's not too much trouble, I'd love some help on it. I-I actually, um.." he looked up, scratching the back of his neck. "I actually wasn't paying attention. English isn't my strong suit," he laughed, still blushing from embarrassment.

message 70: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments Angel sort of watched him from aside, her light blue eyes seemingly lit up. She didn't say anything at that point though her face did read it all and a smile appeared at her lips.

"Well, I'm willing to tutor you, if that's what you mean. I don't mind," she said in response.

She noted his blushing embarrassment and kind of cocked her head to the side. Now, why was he blushing like that, she wondered.

She blinked the thought away, "All right then, when do you want your first tutoring session to be and where at?" She inquired politely.

Will smiled. "That would be absolutely fantastic. I need all the help I can get," he laughed, knowing he stunk at english. He was more of a science and math kind of guy.

"Er.." he trailed off, thinking about the question. "I'd be fine with wherever and whenever. I can probably fit any schedule of mine around yours," he said, smiling at Angel. "You're the tutor. You can decide. After all, it's me that's taking up your time," he pointed out.

message 75: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments Angel laughed, her beautiful smile. "I've got nothing more to do. My schedule's pretty open though. I've pretty much finished my essay so whatever whenever's great with me." She looked at him with those eyes of hers. "You do know of a place, don't you?"

Will thought for a minute. "Maybe we could go to the New Way Bakery?" he suggested. "I would let you come over to my place but, well.. I don't think you'd want to go there. It's not safe," he shrugged as if he didn't care. In his cover's reality though, the parents were abusive and vulgar. Yes, Will took his time to create a believable cover. "Just name a time and I'll meet you there," Will told her. "Here," he said, pulling out his cell phone, opening a new contact. "You can put your number in and I'll text it so you have my number. Then we can figure out a time. Is that okay with you?" he smiled, holding his phone out for Angel to grab.

message 77: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments "New Way Bakery, hm I've seen the place. It has an interesting aroma whenever I pass by, which isn't very often," Angel said thoughtfully. She waved a hand at his mention of his place, "Not a problem there. We can go there maybe later on today or if you're busy tomorrow at noon." She suggested.

She took his phone and put her cell number in it before handing it back. "Hope this works for you," she said.

message 78: by Kaitlyn (new)

Kaitlyn | 449 comments
"Er... I would prefer it if we went to the bakery instead," he frowned. "I don't have.. the best family situation and wouldn't want you to see everything that goes on," he explained quietly, looking down.

Angel put her number in his cell and handed it back. He texted the number, hearing her phone vibrate. "Now you have my number," he informed her. "We can go to the bakery later today, if you want?" he waited for a response.

message 79: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 278 comments Angel had nodded at that on feeling the vibrate on her cell, "sure that'll work. My mom's working anyway and I've got all the time." She would say.

She gazed at him again, "So, will you lead or shall I just meet you there?" she questioned.
