Evening. There are 2 books under my name, but which must be from a different Adam Carter. They are "Rum & Reggae's Costa Rica" and "Rum & Reggae's Puerto Rico, Including Culebra". Would it be possible for them to be taken out of my list of books please? Many thanks.

Hello. This has happened to me once before. There is another by the name of David Torres. Whoever this person is has claimed my book, Crisis (The Covert War, #1) kindle edition. I have the paperback edition under my name, but I wanted to add the kindle edition too. That's when I found out that this "David Torres" has claimed it with the ASIN. He has done this to my book, Restricted Renegade, but it has been fixed years ago. Now he's done it again with my book, Crisis. I know what my name is listed under (how many spaces between first and last name) and that is what I entered for the paperback. But the kindle edition has already been done. Please help. I don't want this error to happen a second time.
It's automatically imported from Amazon and it happens quite oftenYou shouldn't worry too much about it, you'll only need to ask for someone to move it to your profile in the future

edit: it looks like someone fixed it.
He likely has no idea it happened - the automatic imports have no way of telling which author of a particular name a book belongs to, so they default to the first one (the one with only one space).Moving them is very simple, and takes just a second, but it helps if you post a link to the exact book, and if you know it (and you do) how many spaces are needed to fix it. Although it looks like someone fixed this one already.

Hello fabulous librarians! A couple of problems I'm having with my profile and book coming out on Nov. 15:1)My name is Heather Hansen and books I haven't written are appearing in searches. I am only the co-author of DISAPPEARING DESTINATIONS and the author of PROPHETS AND MOGULS, RANGERS AND ROGUES, BISON AND BEARS.
2)There are two listings of my latest book (ISBN 78-1-59485-888-8). The one with the cover art uploaded is the correct one (which I've already set up a giveaway for). The other one, without cover art, contains several errors.Is it possible to delete the one without cover art?

Heather, the copy you created has an incorrect ISBN (it's truncated and in the wrong field.) The other edition is correct, but missing a cover. Since you have a giveaway running for the bad entry, it's not possible to remove it *or* correct it without possibly upsetting the giveaway. Please repost in a fresh thread when your giveaway is done, and we can merge the editions. As far as what appears when someone searches for "Heather Hansen", since you are not the only author by that name, there's not much to be done. But moving books to (and from) your own profile is easily done. Or did I misunderstand your question 1?
Thanks! I hadn't noticed that the changes I tried to make to the entry I created were not saved. I've corrected the ISBN and pub date. And, yes, my profile reflects the books I've written. It makes sense that other books would be retrieved when searching for my (pretty generic) name but another Heather Hansen's books came up in the right sidebar "Books by Heather Hansen" when viewing PROPHETS & MOGULS. That's what I thought was odd. Perhaps there's no way to prevent that either…?

That's not searches, that's because your profiles were mixed together :). I fixed those earlier.I undid your change, I think you misunderstood.

Has a valid ISBN 10 and ISBN 13 (the ISBN 10 corresponds to the ISBN 13 correctly so it shouldn't be removed). It was missing a cover, but I added that.

Has the part of the ISBN 13 cut off, and entered in the ISBN 10 field. This edition needs to be merged into the other one. However, you said you had created a giveaway for this one, which I presume is still pending approval. So it cannot be done yet and if you change the ISBN now, the giveaway may fail, so please don't do that! That's why I put a librarian note on that one, not the other one.
There is no problem having more than one edition for a while, until the giveaway is done, they are combined so reviews show from either edition, and once the giveaway is over the incorrect one can be merged into the other one.
