If you had to be reincarnated as a main character from a Transgressive Book, who would you be?

Patrick Bateman is out despite some obvious attractions. Raoul Duke (Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas) is fairly appealing, but the combination of the dizzying array of narcotics and his attorney (Dr. Gonzo) are causes for concern. Irvine Welsh has some truly deplorable main characters in his books, but Mark Renton from Trainspotting seems like a pleasant sort, however not sure heroin addiction is for me. Bukowski's alter ego Chinaski is a possibility (alcohol, women & menial job) but I would be concerned about lingering after effects from my previous self, & being left with only the alcohol and menial job. Perhaps I could be a female next time round - there are a few possibilities (discussed in a different thread), but the only one I am really familiar with is Palahniuk's creation Madison Spencer (Haunted & Doomed), and I don't want to be her, she is quite annoying. So I am going with an obvious choice - The nameless narrator/Tyler Durden (they share the same body if I remember correctly) of Fight Club fame. I don't approve of what anarchic genius Durden does to soups, but you can't have everything. Who would you be? - If it's Humbert Humbert I/we don't want to know.

I haven't read that many transgressive books but the first one that springs to mind is John from John dies at the end.I am already quite similar to him in the amount od nonsense he talks, I just need to get myself into similar situations.
There is absolutely nobody from Haunted I would want to come back as.
I haven't read John Dies At The End. It has sure got a lot of reviews. Did you enjoy it? This thread is not proving to be very popular so far.
Nobody wants to be transgressive here, I wonder which character from Harry Potter they would puck. HeheheYep John Dies at the end is one of my fav books, I got this book is full of spiders lined up to read soon which is the sequel.
Its worth reading if you need book to be funny and cheer you up a bit.
That sounds like a great hybrid Josh, though potentially a very dangerous one after one too many vodka and milks.
