I've been an avid kindle reader for a few years and haven't read so much since getting one. However, just this week I read about the Spritz app that is in development. Reading one word at a time and gradually building up your speed. I tried out the demo here http://www.spritzinc.com/the-science/# and was really taken with it. Impatient as ever, I searched the google play market and found Speed Reader that does virtually the same job. My main problem when reading is that my mind wanders, resulting in me taking weeks sometimes to finish a book. Using this app, I have just finished my latest book in record time. I have no affiliation with either of the two companies I mentioned but I thought there must be other readers like me that are easily distracted that could benefit from trying this. I have since found Faster Reader, again for android, that seems to the same job. I am not an Apple user but I am sure similar software is available. If I don't have too much on I could easily read 2 or 3 books a week which is unheard of for me.
