Another batch tallied! Thanks for your votes everyone. At the rate we're going we'll have a very nice challenge list that isn't too painful but will allow us to stretch our reading tentacles.
I'm going to do it the other way next year. No planning at all. I'm going to read whatever I want and then see where it fits on the list. I overplanned this year :P
59 people have voted so far - thank you! I'll let this go a few more days before wrapping it up.

thanks for putting all of this together!!! I really wish we could vote against bc some categories are a bit.... anyways, thanks for all the hard work!
This probably was the hardest "poll" I ever did... ;)Just one suggestion before my 15 categories - depending on how the categories get voted, can't we combine 3 (NYT bestseller list) and 16 (Nobel price winner), 98 (bestseller). Also, 5 (a history book) and 51. (book set in a period of history that interests you) are very similar.
1. A book with LGBT subject matter or character(s).
6. A book your favorite author loves
27. The first book you see when entering your book store/library

111. A book related to your occupation
112. A book where the main character shares your first or last name (or initials)
Thanks everyone for continuing to vote while I was out of town for a few days - we're up to 79 people! I'm excited that so many of you have taken the time to give input.
Some of you have pointed out that several categories are similar. I tried to avoid it when I put together the list, but missed a couple. I will take the raw numbers, then account for similarities so we end up with the most variety possible.
It's been really interesting tallying the votes - I have a system of organization to make sure I don't go nuts! Putting my librarian organizational skills to work.
I'll leave voting open through the weekend, then call this thread closed.
