Street lights lighting up the night sidewalk. It seemed like an awful hour to be craving a cheeseburger from Ruby's Diner. Human food. The thought of eating something he use to think was so awful. Now he has grown to appreciate human french fries and cheeseburgers. “ What is this world coming to? ” He thought to himself, throwing his head back like he was starting to feel ashamed of himself for wanting a fucking cheeseburger. Dressed in a black hoodie, and dark jeans. Atticus either stuck out like a sore thumb or looked like he was about to shoot someone. He wasn't really good at ‘ blending in ’ in human civilization.

When Atticus noticed the annoyingly shining light to the diner, his stomach growled with excitement and hunger. The little bell chungged as he walked in. His eyes immediately narrowed at the sound of that ridiculous bell. “ Why the hell do they even have that? ” He looked around to see who was working. “ Oh god. ” he muttered under his breath as he saw Juliet. What luck. The whole reason he came this late was because he thought her damn shift would be over. Atticus sighed. He was thinking about turning around and leaving. But, his desire for a cheeseburger was greater.

Juliet's day couldn't get any slower. Of course she was picking up the midnight shift, of course! It always seemed on the days when Juliet didn't want to work she had to, and when she did want to work, her boss told her it was already covered. At this moment, Jul was just playing around with the salt and pepper shakers behind the counter, trying to find out how many grains there would be in a shaker. That's what Juliet's life had came down to... sharkers. Juliet let out a loud sigh. But Juliet was saved by her own boredom when she heard the bell ding at the front door. Customer! She practically screamed in her head.

Juliet ran quickly around the corner, and stood right in front of Atticus, not even realizing who he was a t first. "Hi! Welcome to Ruby's Diner, seat anywhere you liiikke." Juliet's voice failed her when she finally focused on the silhouette before her. Juliet couldn't help but focus on those light electric eyes, and how a few locks of hair curled ever so slightly on his forehead. Juliet would know that face anywhere. She drew it a million times, and had even gone so far as to using an aging app on her pictures that she drew of him. It was her wolf, and Juliet had no words to say to him. Her mouth just hung open, as she stared at him.

Atticus's eyes opened widely, as she humbly yelled “Hello”. He took a step back, getting himself ready to attack if need be. He wasn't use to seeing Juliet all fired up and energetic . Hell, he wasn't use to seeing her at all. It wasn't really his go-to thing too socialize and hang out with his personal stalker. Standing back up straight, after realizing she wasn't going to lunge at him. He ran his hand through his thick brown curly hair. Trying to figure out what he was going to do next. Just standing here, made him look like a fool. He sighed, then his attention finally got to him. He looked up and down Juliet's body. Pretty much looking like he was scanning her. “What in the world was she dressed in?” Her outfit was utterly ridiculous and laughable. Atticus didn't know much about human attire, I mean, just look how he was dressed. He looked away before he would start laughing. He didn't want to loose his cool.

Scanning his eyes around the diner, he was trying to find a place where he could sit. And there one was. He wouldn't be more happy. But then he looked over and saw a smelly nerd guy sitting a seat away from him. Just great. Well, anything was better then trying to reason with this human. He hunched down, meeting eye level with Juliet ; pointing where he was going to sit. “ I'm going to be - ” He stopped in his sentence, now looking at her face; seeing how stupid she looked with her mouth just opened like that. His eyes narrowed, starting to get a little irritated. He lived in this town after all. It wasn't any secret that they were never going to run into each other. “ Close your mouth why don't you. It looks like you have an extra chromosome,” (view spoiler)

He was scared of her? Why? Was that a look of surprise on his face? Questions swarmed inside Juliet's head, and all she could do was blink, stare, and leave her mouth hanging open. She felt completely stupid, and embarrassed, but she couldn't wipe the look off her face. He turned and looked away from her, and yet she still couldn't move. Is this shock? Is that what I'm feeling? Juliet finally composed herself when he made his rude comment. It was like a switch flipped. Juliet stood straighter, with her shoulders back, and gave him a cold look. "I'm sorry you just looked like someone I used to know, and you didn't have to be so rude."

Juliet noticed, even through her gaping stare, that he wanted to sit in one of the booths to her left, she grabbed a menu, and started walking, not caring if he followed, and set the menu on one side of the table. Juliet then turned around and put her hands on her hips. Her Uniformed poodle skirt flared out around her. She had to be in theme with the diner, which meant putting on pink tights, a poodle skirt, tennis shoes, and a light blue sleeveless button down shirt. To top off the look, Juliet pined back part of her hair back, and let the rest flowed down her back.

Atticus stood up straight, fixing his posture. His head jerked to the side like a confused puppy. “ Rude? ” he thought to himself. How could him be telling her she looked stupid be rude? If anything he thought he was saving her from humiliation . Not like he cared. He really didn't understand humans. Not one bit. His eyes staring at her back, as she walked off towards the booth, his blue oculars were filled with complete confusion. Oh well. None of his concern. He just wanted a cheeseburger.

“ No need for the menu, I will just have a cheeseburger, with no tomato, or lettuce - hell just make it a meet patty with cheese. No bun. Oh and some water, ” He said while sliding himself in the booth. He looked up at her, to see if she got what he just said. Or would he need to repeat it. It was hard for him to read emotions on humans. So, he just looked at her, waiting for her to say if she got it or not.

Juliet raised an eyebrow at his order, she wanted to comment on how ridiculous he sounded but then thought against it due to the fact that everyone told her that daily. Juliet shook her head, and pulled out her notepad and a pen. "I'll have that out in a second. Do you want fries with that? We have the best fries in town..." More like the most fattening fries in town, but damn were they good.

As Juliet waited she took this moment to study Atticus. He looked as if he hadn't slept in days, and that he just rolled out of bed all tied into one. Juliet had to admit that he looked very scruffy looking, did he ever groom himself at all? Juliet couldn't help but open her mouth. "You know this might sound crazy, but you have a striking resemblance of someone I know. I first meet him when I was little... When I was six..." She waited to see if he either call her crazy, or storm out of the diner. Or both.

Atticus leaned his elbows on the counter. Finally his order was in. he was going to get his “ cheeseburger. ” He looked up, seeing the waitress still standing before him. His eyebrow rose. Why was she still here again? Ahh... french fries? Those things that taste like cardboard with salt on them? No thank you. “Ahh.. I'm good. ” He said in a rather disgustingly blunt tone. The thing about Atticus was he has no idea what manners are. He didn't really know how humans worked either. So what humans might think of him being rude; he just thinks he's being honest.

Atticus leaned his head back. taking in her question about him having a resemblance of someone she knew. he was no fool. He knew exactly who this girl was. He needed to keep tabs on the human girl who watched him turn into a human. His face was expressionless, just looking at her. “ Yeah, I get that a lot, ” he said. Trying to play it cool; and also make it look like he didn't know who she was at the same time.

Juliet was sure that he was her wolf. In fact, it was like subconsciously, she knew it. "Well, your order will be up in a few minutes." Juliet walked behind the counter, and gave the cook the order. Since there wasn't anyone else other than Juliet, Woolfy, and the nerd sitting in a booth alone, it shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes. Juliet decided that she was going to get to know this guy. She sat across from him, without asking and gave him a smile.

"My name's Juliet. And no you don't get to kick me out of your booth. I figured you looked like you needed some company." If anything, Juliet would at least learn his name. She could tell that a friendship was about to form. Instead of telling him who he looked like, or talking about her beliefs, she wanted to start fresh and actually try at a real friendship without people giving her the weird looks.

Atticus sighed out of relief. His order was finally in. Now; at long last his stomach can rest at ease. He fiddled with his fingers, waiting for his order to come in. Constantly keeping an eye at the door. If any of his friends knew that he was eating at this diner, he wouldn't hear the end of it. His body suddenly jumped when the waitress girl scooted herself in his booth. Making herself at home, having no regard for territory what so ever. Humans. What was going on? Didn't this girl just call him rude and now she wanted to make small talk with him, no one makes small talk with him. Atticus looked at her, his oculars were filled with confusion. He looked to his right, then his left. Then looked directly behind him. No good. She was talking directly to him.

Atticus wasn't really good with talking to humans. He had no idea what to do at this point. Her face expressions got stupider looking by the second. Maybe he should say something. “ Nice name. Let me ask you something, are you always this forward with people? ”

Juliet never understood why people always want to back down from something they wanted to do. If Juliet felt something, she would do it. Juliet wanted to figure out this man. He seamed to leak secrets, and Juliet just couldn't calm her curiosity. Juliet smiled and leaned her elbows on the table. "Thank you, My mom read the story to me when she was pregnant with me. Or so I'm told."

Juliet cocked her head, thinking about what he said next. She bit her lip, because she really didn't know the answer. "I guess I do it when people let me. I don't really get along with a lot of people. Now that I answered yours, you answer mine. Deal?" Let the question games begin. Juliet thought to herself. "What's your name?"

Atticus scuffled. A story? Ahh yes, he seemed to vaguely remember a tale like that when he was a child, something about a young girl named Juliet and a boy named Romeo. The more Atticus knew about these humans, the more he didn't want to know. He found it strange that they make up such things. What was the point if the stories had no meaning? Killing yourself over a man or woman? Atticus didn't know much about romance. But he did however find the end to the story rather pathetic indeed. . “ Now, we should hope you don't become like the girl in the stories, ” He winked at her. Trying to show he was intrigued in conversation, and affection in talking to her. The one thing Atticus knew about humans, was they craved for affection.

Atticus laughed at her somewhat brave, but rather cocky way she talked. Leaning his head back against his booth, he crossed his arms, figuring out what he was going to say. “ Sorry dear, I don't make deals, and don't worry about my name,” For some reason Atticus hated giving his name out to humans or wolves he didn't know. Just a percussion he takes. Atticus lifted his head up, he could sense, or rather; smell that his dish of food was on his way. His eyes drifted away from hers, making full eye contact on the steaming plate of food he had ordered. Along lass, his food had arrived, Although the man carrying his plate look like he has more meet on him, perhaps I should feast on him instead, Kidding... Just kidding. He thought to himself.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Juliet cocked her head to the side, she could tell the man was trying to pull of the a sly wink, but Juliet just saw it as him trying to hard. She didn't want him to pretend to be something he's not. Even though Juliet though he was very attractive, honestly, him winking at her, was not him. Juliet let out a small giggle, "I don't know, the fact that the two of them were willing to sacrifice themselves for the other, even in death... it makes you want to know what love like that feels like." Juliet let her eyes wander to his face once again, she couldn't help but be drawn to it. For that face is the face she had been dreaming about for years. Sure it sounded like she was a stalker, but focusing on the wolf helped Juliet get through a tough time in her life.

Juliet's brow furrowed, that was not the answer she was expecting, she hoped it was something along the lines of , 'I'm the wolf that you met as a child, and my name is-----', not a no. She was about to ask why he was being so stubborn, but the chef had brought him his cheesy meat patty, Juliet couldn't help smell the amazing aroma of food, just taken off the grill, "Hey..." The chef chuckled, "I already know what your going to ask Juliet, and I put some fries in the frier, and put another patty on the grill." with that the chef walked back to the kitchen, "Thank you!" Juliet yelled to him. She sat with a smile on her face, happy that she was getting some food as well. "Now about this name situation, seeing as you are not as forthcoming as I, I'll just have to name you woolfie. That is till you tell me your real one." Juliet sat back in her seat, with a big grin on her face, feeling that she just won.

Once the plate of food was set down in front of him, Atticus's stomach growled with hunger. He lifted up his silver pointy thing that humans called forks. Just when he was about to dig in to his lump of meet with cheese, his senses kicked in. He felt threatened. He looked up, and the girl was still sitting there; as an instinct Atticus dropped his arm around his plate. Bringing it in closer to him like he was protecting it or something. leaning over his food, his eyes never left the girl; but his hand reached over and he grabbed his water. Taking a sip, the coldness running down his throat felt so refreshing. “ Funny, I don't recall inviting you to sit and have a meal with me, ”

Atticus grinned, his black brow rose out of curiosity. This girl had spunk, but, she was naive as well. If she thought of him as a wolf, she would know that she should be careful what she says around them. Moving his plate to the side so he could lean in closer to Juliet. His face nearly touching hers; having no regard for personal space. “ Don't tell me you actually believe that crap about the wolves, and think I'm one of them? how foolish, ” he whispered. Leaning back into his booth, eyebrow still erect.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Juliet couldn't help but smile stupidly at his reaction. She felt giddy and happy, happier than she had been in a long time. Juliet looked between Woolfie's face, and his arm. 'Did he actually think I was about to steal his food? I have my own coming, why waste the energy?' Juliet thought to herself. "Funny, last time I checked people, enjoyed eating with company. Plus I don't really want to move." Juliet wasn't about to back down now.

That is until he stabbed her heart in the right spot. With the smile gone, Juliet just stared at him with sadness. She didn't even turn her head when the Chef sat the plate down; she gave him a small, quick smile and looked down at her food. She looked back up, noticing just how close he was to her. Juliet heart fluttered, and her mouth hung open. Why can't he just admit it, instead of hurting me? She leaned in forward, and gave him a harsh stare, "I never said that I thought you were one of them. Did I think it? Yes. But you should know not to compare someone's beliefs with their intelligence." Juliet made a sighing noise, "Your just like everyone else."

Atticus took a bite of his food. He has been waiting for this cheeseburger; or rather meat patty with cheese all day. The flavors danced on his tongue with every bite. It was an odd feeling indeed. Atticus use to hate human food. But the longer his taste buds adjusted to the food, the more he grew to like it. Like a dog licking up scraps on a plate. His face was filled with happiness. Nothing got in the way with Atticus and his food. For a brief moment he forgot that Juliet was still there, getting too involved in his food. He didn't have time to notice the sad and hurt look that she gave him. “ Hmm? Ohh thats right she is still here.. ” He could tell by the look of despair in her eyes that he must have said something wrong. But what could it have been? He didn't really feel like dealing with a woman's emotions during his dinner time meal.

Atticus jumped back in his seat to her sudden change of atmosphere. A small sound escaped his mouth; kind of like a mix between a hiccup and a gasp. Woman were completely terrifying. The fact that she was able to overcome her sadness with anger in a matter of seconds; made him question why he was even here in the first place. Stuff like this was too risky. Dangerous even. When she spoke, he let out a sigh of relief; if he had gone any longer with her giving him that harsh stare; he would have showed her submission. But, when he finally realized what this whole thing was about; what he said to her to tick her off, he couldn't help but chuckle at her words. “ Listen, Juliet, ” He stopped for a second. Letting her name roll off his tongue. He knew her name for many years. But never once had he said it aloud. “ I get that your believing something brings hope, and I don't want to crush that for you. Perhaps you didn't say I was one. But, you did however intended it. Make no mistake, I will not be dragged into your childish fantasies. Got it? I don't care what you choose to believe in. ”

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Juliet couldn't understand how people couldn't fathom the fact that she believed in the wolves. At this point, Juliet couldn't decide if he was a wolf or not, but she wasn't going to assume with this man any longer. Juliet slightly shook her head, and sat back into her seat. "You know, you right. I want you to be one of them, but it's obvious now that you're not. But let me make one thing clear, what I believe in may have started out as something childish. But, is it such a bad thing that I believe in something so much, it's connected to my soul?" Juliet brushed a piece of hair behind her ear, and swirled a french fry in a dollop of mayonnaise. She didn't want to look him in the eye right now. She hadn't planned on him finding so much about her, when she didn't even know his name.

All this talk about her belief made Juliet recall that day, when she was so lost, and alone, that it took something so unique to finally make her inspired to see the things that this world held. The moment she felt scared and excited all at once, but the look of that wolf when there eyes met... it made Juliet feel special. The loss of a person that she didn't even meet, ... that she killed, impacted her in so many ways. She wouldn't even notice how it impacted her. This is how she forgave herself for that loss. She just needed to throw herself into something that consumed her.

Atticus threw himself back in his booth. Taking in her facial expressions. Trying to figure out what she was thinking or feeling. If he was going to look the part as a human he might as well play the part too. When he figured out her feelings were disappointment; but he rather her feel that then her going around town splatting out that he was a wolf. It was better this way. Plus, Atticus has no regard for her feelings; in fact he has no regard for anyones feelings. He honestly couldn't care less. The only thing he cared about was himself. The lone wolf method. “ I never said It was a bad thing; Just don't take your beliefs and place them on another person's shoulder. Great. You believe in wolves. You have an imagination. Thats good. ” His voice was awkward and could have sounded some-what sarcastic.

Atticus leaned forward. placing his elbows on the table top; while resting his palms on his face. “ Did I say that right? ” He thought to himself. He wasn't that great on conversing with others. Even other wolves were difficult to talk too. Let alone a human and their messed up ways of thinking. I mean she just put her french fry in something humans call mayonnaise. That was enough proof for him there. Atticus took another sip of his water, this time he gulped it down like it was a bourbon, giving off the impression that she was exhausting to talk too. “Ahh,” He hissed out, giving her a seductive yet unamused look. “ What makes you so sure that I'm a wolf? ”

Juliet gave her wolf a sly smile, and rested her left elbow on the table, and rested her head against her palm. Juliet bit into her burger, not wanting it to get cold. Her dark brown eyes were watching him with a sense of curiosity and then hope. When she finally swallowed the bite of meat, she rested place the burger back on the plate, and crossed her arms. "The same reason, your freaking out about me calling you a wolf. Most people would brush it off or make a joke. You seem almost angry, like I've figured out your secret." Which I have,... I think. she thought. "If you really aren't my wolf, then why are you so upset?"

Juliet let out a big yawn, she hadn't realized how tired she had been with all the excitement happening if front of her. Surly her father would be upset. Her shift was over, almost thirty minutes ago. But she didn't want to leave. Her wolf wanted to be safe, to not have his secret shared, and by doing so he made her think she was wrong, and or crazy. Juliet decided there that she would always suspect that it was him. But she wouldn't force it on him any longer, well that is until she done talking to him tonight of course. "It probably doesn't help that you look like him too."

Atticus cocked his head to the side, in a rather demonic manner. A small smirk crept on his lips, looking at her as she spoke. He put his head down, looking at the table. Shaking his head; a small laughed exhaled out of his mouth. “ I'm not freaking out; any normal person wouldn't appreciate a stranger coming up to them; demanding that their a wolf. Yes, its true most people would brush it off as a joke. But unlike most people around here, i'm not like them; I'm me with my own ways of thinking and my own thoughts. My reaction may differ from others; but thats just me being who I am. Maybe you should get your facts straight before going up to people and calling them a wolf, ” He said; looking up at her; his facial features and whole attitude changed. Just like a flick of a light. His eyes more animalistic then human.

“You have no idea who I am, and yet your brave enough to talk to me? Hasn't your parents ever told you not to talk to strangers? For all you know I could be a psychopathic killer. You might want to try keeping your guard up a little more. ” He said, standing up from his booth; he grabbed the collar of her shirt; pulling her up out of her seat and pulling her close to him. It was like he was a completely different person. The wolf side of him. Anger. He couldn't control it, the only thing he could do was embrace it. It was like a switch went off in his brain. “ A little tip? Know who your pray is before diving in,” He said, pushing her back in her booth; heading over to the door. His goal was to scare her. He needed to scare her. She was a naive girl that didn't think about any consequences. In a way he was showing her the dangers of this world. He had no intention of hurting her; but scaring her.

Juliet shook her head, and let out a silent laugh. She turned to see that the kitchen light had been turned off. He must have left for the night. He also must have seen what that we were having too much of an interesting conversation to interrupt us. I'll have to thank him on my next shift. Juliet's dark chocolate eyes snapped back to his. He seemed to be making a very sensible argument, but Juliet didn't care. She wasn't going to push him any longer. "Okay. Whatever you want to say woolfie." She gave him a small smirk, but then she could see the almost bipolar change happen to him. Maybe he is bipolar. Who am I to judge?

But then he had to say something about her parents, sure it wasn't a direct bash at her parents, but what he said hit Juliet hard. What ever his said after words became a blur. Juliet just watched his mouth move, as if though words were supposed to come out. Then he moved and tried to startle her, pulling on her collar, which made her gasp. He even managed to get her off the ground. This should have been a big flash sign, telling Juliet she needed to "Get the Hell Away From Him!", but he pulled her close, to the point where she could feel his breath against her skin, and in that moment she felt angry, and nervous. Only slightly scared. Juliet was just so used to people not saying anything about 'her parents'. Anyone that lived in the area knew of the sad girl who lost her mom, and how her father worked all the time, and most strangers would never say anything because they would never see her again. "My mother's dead. My father works all the time so I hardly see him. I saw him less when I was a child. So no. Teaching me not to talk to strangers, while he practically was one my entire childhood was never a life lesson. Now, Get. Your. Hands. Off Me."

Atticus stopped in his tracks, in front of the door. He had realized that he had forgot to pay for his meal. He slipped his hands in his pocket and pulled out his holy leather wallet; and took out a twenty dollar bill. He looked down at the money, thinking about how he never even knew his parents and practically raised himself. Yeah - she sure has it tough. What felt like minutes in his head, It was actually only a couple seconds. Atticus turned around, now facing Juliet again; he walked over to her and handed her the money for his meal. Ignoring her hole ordeal about her parents. Its not like he felt any sympathy for the girl. Maybe a little embarrassed for her. I mean who tells a stranger about their home situation?

Atticus cleared his throat before speaking. “ Here keep the change,” It wasn't like he was wealthy, he just never understood how money was such a valuable thing to humans. It was more like it was just the fact that people are in power, and how money controls people. He looked her in her brown oculars for a couple seconds before turning back around and heading over to the door. He needed to get out of this environment. It was going to make him do things that he didn't want to do. Maybe a stroll in the woods would cool him down a bit. He's had enough playing human for one day.

Elias had been driving for while in the small town looking for a place with lights. Every once in awhile he'd curse himself as places were closing for the night. Eventually seeing the diner made his stop. Getting out of his car he seen a few people inside. With a grunt he headed towards the door. A flannel covered his grey shirt and his legs were cladded in dark jeans and boots cover his feet. For once his dark hair wasn't spiked up but how could it when the poor guy hasn't slept in a day or so with dark days under his eyes. Opening the door and stepping in Eli was met face to face with another male. Instead of letting out a growl he stepped back outside and opened the door with a grunt. As human at the moment he had to act like others have to fit in with society.

"If your going go," he said lowly and that always apparent accent was there. Never been to a human school Elias was homeschooled by his mother til she died. With her growing up in Germany she had a German accent which he had grown accustomed to. When he first enter the human society since moving he noticed his accent yet it was a part of him. Finally getting inside he noticed the woman in what he could tell as a fifties outfit. "I was wondering if I could get a cup of cotte and maybe some food?" Internally he begged that the girl would get him some coffee and food so it would last til the morning in which he could find a place to stay. Stress was apparent as Eli ran a hand through his hair.

Before walking outside, Atticus's stomach knotted up from inside him. He knew that smell. It was the smell of another wolf. He took a step back, waiting a few seconds before the wolf stepped inside. It was another male; great. Atticus exhaled. He didn't like the aura he was getting from this one, something dark, and maybe a little sinister. Without leaving his stance, his eyes followed him as he passed him, making his way over to Juliet. A voice inside his head was telling him to get away from her. As said before, Atticus didn't have any affection for the girl. It was more like she was his property. His territory. And after her whole spat with him earlier this evening, he didn't know if her delicate soul can handle another.

Atticus put his head down, exhaling out an exhausted breath. “ I know I'm going to regret this later, ” He muttered to himself before pivoting around, walking over to the other male, putting his body in front of Juliet. How humiliating was this. Just a couple seconds ago he was yelling at her, and now he has the urge to protect this woman? He never understood his motivations, and I'm sure the people around him didn't either. If he had any since what-so-ever. He would just walk away from the situation, hopefully hoping that the other wolf will use her as a midnight snack so she would stop asking him those annoying questions. But, the thing about Atticus was that he didn't make any since. “ Sorry, there about to close, ” He said, letting the masculinity of his voice seep out, along with the intensity .

Juliet was ready to ask him to wait. She wanted to get to know him more, and maybe just having him walk her home would bring them closer. But then a customer walked in. Juliet let out a sigh, realizing that it was probably best. Juliet opened her mouth to answer the customer, but was interrupted by a large body moving in front of her. Juliet put her hands on the body's back, trying to move it out of the way, just as a reflects. But the body wouldn't move, it didn't even seem to budge. After taken a minute to look up, she noticed the same hoodie that he was wearing. What is wrong with him? He was itching to get out of here, away from her, but now he's shielding her from a customer.

Juliet tried to shove him out of the way. "What is wrong with you?" She practically shouted. "All he did was ask for a cup of coffee, and some food. It's not like he asked for all of my money, or threatened to hurt me." Juliet couldn't understand it. How did he get in front of her so fast? Why was he so threatened by this boy in front of her? Most of all, why did he want to protect her? If they had only just met, why is he protecting a complete stranger?

Elias held back a growl when the other male came between him and the waitress he guessed she was. His stomach was empty of food and really that's all he wanted. As he opened his mouth Eli's stomach roared a whale mating call from the absence of food. "I saw lights and thought to check." Taking a deep breath he turned around but knew the scent well of the other wolf who he had already guessed as the male. He could see it from the way he acted around him but the female seemed delicate with her emotions. Ignoring 'Juliet' he read when she moved, he moved towards the door. Thinking about taking true form and hunting real food could be good but he didn't know the close packs or the lone wolves yet so he could get hurt. What was he thinking when he pulled into the lot, oh that's right hunger. "I'm sorry to have bother you," Eli's accent showed the true apology he had for Juliet as he left through the door.

Once outside he looked at his car and groaned. He could hunt for food and find a cave or stay in this human form and in a cramped car. Even through the dangers, food was a need he had. Leaning his head against the roof he gave an animalistic growl in frustration. Why did I have to go to a place with another wolf around? Am I only ever going to have trouble? Giving up he decided to hunt instead so he'd drive his car to a place where he could hide it and then change into his true wolf nature. It would be a pleasure to feel his claws dig into earth and fur cover his body after a long time of hiding amount the humans.
