Hi, gang! I'm not the most vocal on the social media scene, so I'm dipping my toes in the water with this post. I've been promising James to get better at it. Anyhow, I just wanted to break the ice, say hello, and see what everyone else is working on. Me? I'm proofing some chapters in the fourth installment of Rotting Frontier. This book has been a lot of fun to write. The characters are established, along with the setting, so this one is all action. Enough about me, what are you all working on? Show and tell, good people!

Just thinking about what I should be writing. Maybe I'll start on the third instalment of the Landland Chronicles, or perhaps I'll just leave it as two. I'll certainly check out Rotting Frontier.

I'm working on the final few chapters of book three in my Echoes of Imara series, possibly titled "The Strength to Serve." Finishing a book is so intense. It will be ready for beta readers soon. Then the real work begins.
I'm on the last 30% with my novel Ibenus (Valducan #3). Then on to editing, betas, and all the other fun stuff like Claire mentioned. In the meantime, my second Black Raven collection, Sea of Quills, is about to come out. So I've got the pre-release jitters starting up.
I'm new to the group - so hi everyone! - and I'm currently working on a serialised collection of short stories for the new Warhammer setting as well as plotting my next novel
Good question and thread, Dave. Nice to see what folk are up to.I'm currently reading my recently edited novel (3rd edition): Black Cross. I'm also writing the next in the series: Black Guild. Currently about half way through first draft, but it's going well.
Warhammer, David, that's cool. Love reading those stories. Age of Sigmar now isn't it? Is what you're writing specific to the new release?
JP
Hi everybody! I've got a batch of homebrew fermenting merrily in the closet. I'm also working up a D&D campaign for some newbies this weekend and recharging my batteries for the next push into my second novel. I kind of feel like the little guy at the table here...but the beer, I think, will be impressive when it's done. And my family likes my book! :)
J.P. wrote: "Warhammer, David, that's cool. Love reading those stories. Age of Sigmar now isn't it? Is what you're writing specific to the new release?"Yep, Age of Sigmar. Black Library tie their fiction output pretty closely to releases on the gaming side of the company, so everything I get to write is linked to something in some way
I'm currently expanding the first book of the Dreamside series for the rerelease (although hitting the exact tone is proving a bit of a hobglobin).I'm also mid-way through writing the second book in the Young Gods series. The book's preliminary title is "The Children Under the Shadows."
I'm working on the fourth and final book in the Hidden series. The first three books will be re-published by Realmwalker Publishing shortly.
I am slaving away on a massive Lego build for Brickcon Based on Claire Frank's book 2 final Battle Scene. I am also constantly coming up with new ideas every day so that Claire has no idea what to write next =)Here is a work in progress pick of the back building of the layout:

Thank you, Leona, for inviting me to the group. Great to see everyone is very productive (that includes home-brewing). Exciting times as my 5th epic fantasy novel, From Ashes They Rose, will be released on October 1.
Looking forward to connecting to everyone. I blog at elfwriter.com and tweet from @elfwriter.
Thank you,
Alon

Great stuff! Always enjoy a good Black Library read! I submitted a 40k short early this year. No reply, alas.

Beer! So jealous of you right now! Let us know how that goes, and I'm sure more than just your family will enjoy your book :-) Thanks, J.P.! There's some icky stuff in the book...I kind of hope the family just buys it but doesn't read too closely. We'll let the coming legions of strangers and fans give it a thorough read and sing the thing's praises :p

It is great to read that everyone is beavering away at a new book!I'm right in the last chapters of my 3rd (of a trilogy) and making sure I tie up most of the loose ends.
Hello, EveryonePleasure to join this group. I'm working on the sequel to my debut novel When The Serpent Bites. The sequel is called When The Dragon Roars. I'm only on chapter four.
Hi all, I'm new here so thought I'd jump in and say hello. I struggle a bit with social media, but have managed to put my 3 books on my author profile. As an ex trucker this was no mean achievement :)I write fantasy as J.W.Webb. My work is illustrated by Tolkien Artist, Roger Garland as is my website: legendsofansu.com
I have just finished book three in my long running fantasy series and will be starting four next month.I am delighted to be here and hope to engage with y'all re the trials and tribulations of indie publishing etc etc.
