Hi Rose - for next week, if it's not too much trouble, could you include the list number for the book you chose as well as the list? For Example - your book selection from this week was book #126. It would be enormously helpful for me, particularly if you had chosen book 416 :-)
I also wanted to echo Skandia's words in encouraging you to ask any and all questions you have. I'll also be more responsive next week with getting the theme information on our page sooner.
The book you choose sounds interesting - I can't wait to read your thoughts on it.

Review: Overall, I just really enjoyed the chemistry shared between the two main characters - Tru and Jake. I wasn't in love with Tru's character sometimes, as she seemed to waffle a great deal on her feelings and convictions. I did like Jake. He was a bad boy rocker with a vulnerable side exposed mainly to Tru because of their shared past of young love and friendship. I thought the idea that they could have been soulmates was especially true on his behalf. I did not like Will. He seemed sweet enough, but kind of made me think of a prickly marshmallow - all soft and gooey with no real substantial substance. I loved Stuart and Dave and felt they were so much more than PA and security. The connection with Denny and Simone seemed to be a good one. This was an easy read for me. It just seemed to flow well. I had it on my want to read shelf for a while and I'm glad I finally took it down and gave it the read it deserved.

Overall this was a solid read. The chemistry between Rowan and Alex is good. Alex is a typically presented playboy rockstar to Rowan's innocent virgin. The interactions between Rowan and the band were playful and cute. My only issue with the book was that the pacing was off in places. Certain parts that seemed important weren't well developed while other parts dragged. But, overall, a quick fun read.

2 Stars :(
I feel terrible giving an author low stars but this one just didn't work for me.
A rock star Navy Seal who's undercover and falls in love with an architect who can design a brand new house, get it framed, have it burn down, get it re-framed and built in like a month??? WTF? Not to mention, who goes undercover and brings their mark to meet their "family" WHAT? NEVER going to happen...
When I read the description my first thought was, Navy Seal undercover rock star, okay, never would happen but maybe it can work. Nope not at all. Didn't work for me one tiny bit. The entire book I wanted to scream "This would never happen" which kept me from getting into the story. Well that and I couldn't stand Rachel the MC - she wasn't for me. They didn't work for me. I didn't believe them together and that's tough when it's a romance story.
The good and the reason for the 2 stars is really Cameron and Max - they were so fun to read. Although all the nicknames got confusing it was still fun and almost made me laugh a couple time. I want to say I care enough to read the next book, which is Cameron's but I have to be honest, that probably won't happen.
Week # 1, 10. Artistic/Creative Romance
Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James
296 pages
How the book qualifies - Romance with Actors Actresses Acting book #7 on the list
Finished 9/15/2015
4 stars
I like Julie James's lawyer romances. She writes good couples with interesting characters and witty dialogues worth a highly entertaining courtroom cross-examination.
This book lived up to my expectations as well. I think the main character Taylor was a really smart cookie. She wasn't dazed by the Hollywood hoopla and with her no nonsense attitude broke even the most self-centered movie star and earned his respect. Well done girl!
Also a good, slightly sarcastic humor, effortless dialogues and ability to make a reader root for the main couple to get together even if from totally different worlds, makes Julie James'books an enjoyable read. They tend to get a little more chick-lit than contemporary romance but this time I really didn't mind.
@Rose - I hate it too when the couple don't feel right together. There has to be chemistry between characters for me to believe in a romance.I hope your next book is going to be much better!

Review:
I really enjoyed this story. I very much liked the heroine, Jamison. She was strong, creative and sensitive. Her insecurities were believable and her interactions with Ryder, her brother and the other members of the band were great. While I liked the resolution of Jamison and Ryder's issues it did feel a little quick and I wished the other members of the band were a little more fleshed out but minor stuff in the scheme of things.
This was the first book I've read from Tracy Wolff and I would definitely read more of her work.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. I loved the chemistry between Sheridan and Jared. Sheridan was a great character I enjoyed her love for art and her going after her dreams even when things were not going her way. Willow was definitely one of my favorite characters in the story and I can't wait to get to her book.

It took me a while to decide. I kept finding books just to realize that there was a hand, foot, leg etc in the cover. On the plus side it made my husband laugh at my antics when I discovered my oversight :-)
Sorry for the delay ladies, it's been a busy weekend. I will look at my books and hopefully decide on one by morning. Hope everyone's doing great.
@Rose - I love your choice of book this week. I freaked out for a minute thinking the shape in the background was a person but when I looked at a larger version I saw it was a mannequin. I hope it's a great read!

Review
Catherine and Rebecca are back dealing with events that happen at the end of Shield of Justice. They are still getting to know each other so both have to make adjustments for things to work between them. I loved the addition of Sloan and Michael and will definitely read their story. I can't wait to continue on with this series.

I read several of the author's books in the Signal Bend series. It took me a while to finally getting around to this new series and I'm glad I did!
The story features Sidonie and Muse. It's a bit of an opposites attract story. She's just finished her master's in social work and he's a biker. I liked the build up of their relationship from a casual fling to a commitment. I also really liked how she showed Muse as a multidimensional character rather than just a stereotypical biker. Because of that it made sense why Sidonie fell for him. I will definitely be reading more in this series.

Two and a half stars, if I'm being honest. I reached a point where I was sick of the misunderstandings between Caroline and Reed. Every time they were together they didn't listen to each other, they jumped to conclusions and it made me want to stop reading. I only finished this book because it's for a challenge.
There were sweet moments that I enjoyed - the last few chapters were the best in MO. Caroline's growth at the end was good but by the time I reached that point I was happy to be almost done.
I'm sure many readers will love this story, it was just not for me.
I have a question... you don't HAVE to finish your book before the next category is called right? Im about halfway through the Lord Savage and I think I will finish it in time but I'm not completely sure. I don't want to hurt our team if I'm late. Don't worry, if it does have to be read by tomorrow afternoon I WILL make sure it's done.
You have to make your selection post before the next theme is called. You do not have to complete your reading before the next theme is called. I have a craft show this weekend, so I am not finished reading and I won't be before theme calling. I have to set up tomorrow evening. I am reading, but with substituting daily and trying to create inventory, I'm no where near my usual reading amount. No worries ladies. I don't have a show next weekend... Lol.:-) Elaine

Lord Savage by Mia Gabriel
Rating: 5*
Review:: Ohh la la!! Who would've thought I'd be giving a Historical Fiction book five stars?! Not I. But I'm officially in love with Lord Savage! The story was amazing. I Definitely will read more of Lord Savage's story. I DID enjoy the historical aspect of this book BUT I don't think I will be reading non-stop Historical Fiction from now on because of this book.
I'm not going to finish my book for the next shelf call today either. It's very long, but I knew when I chose it, that we are only starting the game and I'll catch up within next week for sure.@Heather
I have Lord Savage on my TBR and now I'm looking forward to read it soon! I like to read some HR
Hi Ladies,I'm also in the same boat. It's been a struggle just to get enough sleep this week let alone reading time. I believe we have until next Friday (October 2nd) to get our books read.
I'll be out this evening so it'll be a little while before I can get this week's theme posted on our page. I'll make sure to do it before I go to bed tonight. If you're super keen to get your next book selected (and I know I would be if I'd finished my book this week) you can find the theme announcement in the main thread where the Q&A information is.
Have a wonderful Friday everyone!!

I REALLY liked it and like I said in my review, I don't really care for Historical Fiction of any kind. Plus, it was dirty...in the very BEST possible way!! Lol I hope you read it soon so I can see what you think. It was recommended to me too.

I ALMOST picked the same book. It sounds really good. Hmm, now I wonder if I should read it instead. :)
It did sound like a sweet romance and I already read the couple of first chapters and it looks good!

I loved this book! I could not put it down. I was so invested in this love story and rooting for Brody and Kacie to make it.
The sweetest and the cutest romance I've read in a very long time and I really want a Brody for myself, too. He was just the perfect hero. I can't stop swooning over him, he's PERFECT!
Lucky thing there wasn't any sports stuff other than Brody being a professional athlete, cause I'm kind of indifferent about sports romance in general. Haven't read a really good one yet until this book took me by complete surprise.
@ SkandiaOh my!! I hadn't even gotten your pick log and you're posting you've finished the book. It must have been good!!! :-)

Review: This was simply okay for me. I was a fast read which was nice. I just didn't love the characters as much as I usually do when I'm reading a new book. This was the first time I've read a Carly Phillips novel. I might try her again just so I can learn more about the Dare brothers!

Week # 2
Book: Romancing the Billionaire by Jessica Clare
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
This is book 5 in the Billionaire Boys Club series which has continued to live up to my expectations. Every hero in the books so far has been a completely different person with the author - Jessica Clare - being able to weave a unique story around them. This novel was about Jonathan who appears to be a carefree, thrill seeking bad boy but as we get to know him we find he's much deeper than that. The heroine Violet has trust issues but has not lost all hope in finding happiness (thank goodness!). Their story was sweet with a wonderful conclusion.
Book 6 is definitely going on the TBR pile.
