what colour was it before?

message 262: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Ah Gabby that is the copper used in pools binding to the protein in your hair. Apparently if you put lots of tomato juice on your hair, leave for a few minutes and wash and condition it, it should help. Yet again a conversation here involves the word tomato! XD

message 263: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Did it work? I am blonde so obviously have an interest in this, I don't think I would suit the 'green hair' look although it would match my eyes!

message 264: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey peeps. How is everyone?

message 265: by [deleted user] (new)

Watching the Jays game and the Jays are WINNING!!!

message 266: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Thanks Gabby. I am (ahem) not a natural blonde.
Hi Aaron, glad your team are winning.

message 267: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Me too, isn't science wonderful?!

message 268: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Now I am going to watch the second part of Jamaica Inn on DVD and have a peaceful evening. No boyfriend at the moment - he is away on a business trip to Poland.

message 269: by [deleted user] (new)

Poland. My father was there when he was in the army, Shauna.

message 270: by Bruce (new)

Bruce (deadwoodpete) | 1 comments What I am up to at the moment is trying to find a book. I read a group of short-stories maybe 5-7 years ago and cannot remember the auther or title. Can someone help?

One of the stories was about how Marilyn Monroe stole a friend's voice style.

The writer was a pretty new writer. A woman, I think.

Thanks for your help, Bruce

message 271: by [deleted user] (new)

Same her Gabby bored out of my mind! lol Watching Family guy.

Thats great, hows it coming along?

message 277: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm working on the script part at the moment. Just want to make sure the story line is out of the way before we move to the art.

Ok, creepy old guy is gone. That sounds like a good way to go fangs. For my little comic strips i do the same thing

message 279: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah I've had a lot more time to work on it lately. I figure once it's done, I'll put it up for you guys to check out.

Good night fangs, and shauna, its night here so good night to you too :) i hope you have a fantastic day

message 284: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Thanks dave, hope you manage to get some sleep tonight.

message 285: by [deleted user] (new)

Hello Shauna. I'm glad your morning is good so far. :)

message 286: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Hi Fangs, so far so good but it isn't 9am yet so could go either way! How are you?

message 287: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm good actually. Wish I could get to sleep. But that's pretty much everyday. lol

message 288: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) What time is it for you? Insomnia must be awful. Isn't it a sign of intelligence though? :)

message 289: by [deleted user] (new)

It's 4 in the morning here. And it can be bad sometimes. Especially when I have things to do later.

message 290: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) I don't know how you cope. I wake up a lot in the night but still manage to get a decent sleep most of the time.

message 291: by [deleted user] (new)

It's fine really. Mostly I stay up and wait for my hubby to get home from work. He sleeps when he gets home, so I usually try and sleep when he does.

message 292: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) That makes sense but the night can be very long and lonely when you think all the rest of the world is asleep. At least you can come on here.

message 293: by [deleted user] (new)

Your right. And It is nice when I can talk to you guys. Especially when I'm the only one home.

message 294: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Talking of being the only one home- I won a Goodreads copy of 'The Shining' but I darent start to read it until my boyfriend is back. If it is anything like the film then it is seriously scary (looks over shoulder).

message 295: by dave (new)

dave (thebat37) | 2448 comments Mod
The Kubrick film and the book are actually pretty different shauna, but yea, its still terrifying, lol. I am making some lunch, chicken sandwich, broccoli and cheese rice and some other veg, tbd. Im thinking peas, or corn, or both

message 296: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) So do you prefer the book or the film dave? I have read other Stephen King books but not this one. Go for both the peas and the corn btw.:)

message 297: by [deleted user] (new)

I say just corn. But then again I can't have peas. lol

message 298: by dave (new)

dave (thebat37) | 2448 comments Mod
I went with peas, lol. I liked the movie better. The book was good but to be honest im not the biggest fan of kings writing. His stuff makes great movies but his books are so boring. Too descriptive. Theres a mini series based on the shining that came out in 1997, its much more faithful to the book than kubricks movie. He definitely made it his own flick

message 299: by [deleted user] (new)

I sort of agree. I love descriptive books, but his are a bit to much sometimes.

message 300: by Shauna (new)

Shauna (shaunathesheep) Thanks for your opinions. The last Stephen King book I read was actually a non-fiction book called 'On Writing' in which he talks about his life and gives advice on writing fiction.
