I think this story is really good, but the reason I love so much this book is the narrative style. The way it is written is so beautiful!
loved this book. read a while ago now but loved the writing style and the flow of the story. still havent got round to reading the rest of the series but i definitely recommend this book
Suzanne wrote: "I just barely started it, but I agree that the narrative style is excellent."I agree. Just started it myself.
I started this book on the train this morning. I've only read the first few chapters so far but I really love the style of the writing.
This is my favourite book and has been since it was first published. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. The next two The Angel's Game and The Prisoner of Heaven are a bit darker, but also worth a read

Book Summary
Barcelona, 1945: A city slowly heals in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, and Daniel, an antiquarian book dealer’s son who mourns the loss of his mother, finds solace in a mysterious book entitled The Shadow of the Wind, by one Julián Carax. But when he sets out to find the author’s other works, he makes a shocking discovery: someone has been systematically destroying every copy of every book Carax has written. In fact, Daniel may have the last of Carax’s books in existence. Soon Daniel’s seemingly innocent quest opens a door into one of Barcelona’s darkest secrets--an epic story of murder, madness, and doomed love.
