Ash shifted nervously, not sure he should say what it was that made the fire appear the first time. "IkissedEveanditjusthappened" he said quickly as his color got brigher.

"Must have been really straining," she said, smiling a little. "Ignacius said that it only happens if you're really really emotional. Maybe you just aren't that, you know, emotionally expanded."
"Well Morta didn't place emotion in any but my gas breath" he said seeing a very different teaching method in their fathers.
"You have gas breath?" She asked, a little shocked. "How bad does it smell?" She still knew very little about weapons of mass destruction.
"Maybe the people who smell it are so disgusted they have to be paralyzed?" she guessed, "And you're immune, so you can't smell it?"
"So... It's like poison?" That was pretty much how far her knowledge went into gas products. She knew water boiled into gas, and that was was air, but she had to admit that she knew very little human knowledge.
"Well it when inhales blocks all electric signals that are commands from the brain so like putting a clamp on a bike brake" he explained with a smile at being able to teach.
"So you stop breathing as well?" she asked, confused. This thing sounded pretty dangerous. "Does your heart stop beating?"
"No those are the only things the gas does not affect as they are done with out any conscious thought" he said with a shake of his head no. "You just can not move or speak" he said with a smirk.
"So you can't shut me up," she said, smirking, "Because I'm part dragon." That was great information to know.
"Oh do you want t test? it may have a difficult time on a half dragon but I have trained it quite well" he said with a small puff of silver gas out of the corner of his mouth as he said it.
"Ooh, it's pretty," she said, pointing, "And a little sparkly. Why not? I don't think I'll really get petrified, and I really don't think it'll kill me."
Zerai sat crosslegged in the grass. "All right, then. It sounds really interesting. Can I see if it would work on me?" She seemed a little excited, and was determined to be able to talk paralyzed, if it did work.
"I suppose but I have known how to use this for 8 years so still think you can resist it?" he advised as his will in the gas was near absolute like when Morta showed him.
She nodded, bouncing in her seat, slightly. "You know, if it does work, like, totally and completely, can you at least hide my head so I don't need to die of shame?"
"Why would you die of shame?" he asked as unless she was wearing a skirt or something she wouldn't be embarrassed.
"I don't want to be absolutely paralyzed on the shooting range, now do I? That just looks really stupid and lame. What would my dad think?"
"Move me where?" she asked suspiciously. Her father had warned her of strangers. At least 78 times a day. For the past 18 years of her life.
"Just out of the open" he said as he wouldn't just leave a girl laying out not able to defend herself.
She scratched her head. "Okay, fine, I trust you." She could imagine how her dad would freak out at that statement. Hi, random stranger I just met. Paralyzing me would be fun! And you can take me places after! Don't worry, I trust you! She almost snickered at his face, but acknowledged his wisdom and... discarded it.
Ash sat down level with her and drew in a deep breath and summoned the right feeling for the gas to well up and he breathed a cloud of it out, wrapping her in it. The gas would have a little trouble holding a half dragon at bay but his experience would empower the gas to do it.
She breathed it in, which was weird, just a bit, since he'd breathed it out. She then poked his nose, not feeling the effects. And then... She couldn't bring her finger down again. "Oh darn. And this was going so well-" she cut off there as well, lost balance, and fell over.
"Better then most get to" he said with a smile and waited for the effects to wear off as he only let her inhale a few minutes worth effect.
She tried to answer, but her lips weren't responding. It sounded like a bunch of wheezy moans in varying pitches.
"Very good you can even make a noise" he said with a grin and in another minute she could speak normally then move after that.
"Well, that was really lame," she said, sounding upset. She'd better work up an immunity to toxins. Or something. Because she didn't want to die of gas, because from her limited knowledge, that would be incredibly embarrassing.
"And if your worried about the whole other gasses, we have flaps in our noses tat close them off so we can fly high, so just change form and then act like your holding your breath in your nose" he said unaware she can't change fully.
"Um..." She'd never really transformed her face. Ever before. "Yeah, well... That's not gonna work." Zerai bit her lip, leaning back.
"Oh, no reason," she said really quick, feeling really red and a little puffy. "I just don't feel like it."
"N-no!" she protested, ducking her head, a wild, frantic look in her eyes. That wasn't natural! He shouldn't know about half form, it was her failure that she couldn't do it!
Like she'd done absolutely nothing in training with her parent. She just couldn't do the form. Her dad had really nagged her about it and she'd made dozens of failed attempts daily. She nodded.
"Okay then" he said backing up to a safe distance and went deep and let out his primal power which held the key to the full transformation. He slowly grew and had his skin cover in silver scales as well as his body shaping into the form of a silver young adult dragon.
She folded her arms and looked down, almost pouting. This was so unfair. She'd spent all her life trying to access the full transformation. "So, um... How long have you been able to do that?"
She smiled slightly, but wasn't really in the mood for this. She felt extremely jealous. "How do you do it?"
There is a primal spirit in you just find it and release it he thought back and stepped on a dummy for fun.
Search yourself he said with a slight growl and laid down in front of her with giant silver eyes peering at her.
Here he thought and went t the place where he would think the soul of her dragon side was and tapped the wall.
