"They don't abandon their own" he said in response.

Zerai ran onto the range. She loved running. Running was so fun. And she preferred it more than flying around in the form, since people freaked out and she tended to be really spiny. Which meant going through the halls, she'd probably maim a few people. But the range sounded fun because she was great at throwing stuff at people, especially fire, and maybe she'd get to use a human gun.
Ash came to the range at full sprint as he really wanted to get his flame breath down as it was getting annoying that he couldn't kiss Eve longer with his sprouting his fire from the excitement.
Zerai whipped around a corner and right into someone else, who had emerged from another hallway. Darn it all! The range was right there and she was in no mood to apologize, talk to, and have tea and crumpets with, this stranger. "'Scuse me," she said, sprinting off slightly away from him, despite her face kind of hurting from slamming into his back.
Ash growled a little and his breath came out and froze the ground just ahead of her by accident. He sighed as he sprouted out his glorious silver wings and flew over her head.
As she was rubbing her nose, she didn't see the ice and slipped head over heels, balancing on one hand to prevent her face from getting any more damaged on the floor, and throwing her legs up, blasting fire at the ice and melting it before collapsing completely in a heap. "Well thanks a lot, demented Xiiva Simose!" she said, yelling the dragon curse word at him. Stupid idiot. He really WAS a demented fish excretion. Why did dragons even have a special word for that insult?
"I am not a demented fish excrement, you tomosha fanol" he said with a scowl at her as he flew over and flipped to land on the ground. ((used this to translate blind girl http://draconic.twilightrealm.com/))
((Got it, favorited the site.))She was half shocked, but then really started wailing on him in draconic, just to see if he had learned it in some class or other. "wux re fekiwvi, iill, phlithou, loexvi pronlel, malaivi, lodeg, sisargh, susvurla noundkurartok, vatakawe, edlinoid, nortai, levnimel, bim, duskin, lekila, repaiup, kraid, vur inidvi ti bensvelk!"
((Mkay so should I!))He chuckled and shot back "batobot ui thric idol ekess fekiik creolna, raknes ghent running sari ir ui|ulph spical."
She grinned widely, and said in a completely serious voice, although she bit her lip, "Wux rechan xarzith seanf vin vanti ghergo fanol. Nomeno filki shows batobot wux re vi pothoc, dartaka, jatil, malaivi, dartakel, phlita, malsvir, suorra ehaisma, juanth darastrix mrith thric skill svaust rigluinic ekess qe deyhurra ini jacida dask!"
Ash near breathed his fire at her at the mention of his mote but stifled it and just spoke back "si tira batobot di ti sia kurjh decision, si mi bivai. vucoti ti svaust sia dask jahus zyak svanoa ornla jaciv deyhurr ve?"
She shrugged. "si tir ti vucot. kii ornla si doege zahae dout wer deyhurr di dout dask batobot jaciv puts shafaer wux? si mi bivai wux tir ti vucot dout dask. si tir ti vucot sini lae algbo."
He sighed at the thought. "ti dout problem ekess doege shar svabol jahen wux tirir svadrav yth morshina paths lae yth tira ?" he asked in turn.
She stuck out her tongue at him, smiling and picking herself up. "si jahus gethrisjir ekess wer range di ixen, ekess drevab mojka wer jesak irlymi mrith sia janikup skills vur tiichi."
"keh algbo si rigluin ekess practice sia kurjh orn ixen, zyak ulnaus?" he asked with a reptilian grin.
She smiled and nodded. "All right, then. Who was your dragonly parent?" she asked, reverting out of draconic. "Did you know him well?" She thought of Ignacius and her smile faded slightly.
"Only parent I have" he said with a grin then caught her fading smile. "Did you not know your's well?" he asked with a sigh.
"No, I know him very well," she said quickly, "We're just not on the best of terms at the moment. He had what humans call, a controlling issue."
"AH well Mine seemed overly calm about everything" he said with a grin as his father was a ice dragon.
"Ha, I wish. If I so much as even suggested something he didn't like, he was all fire and brimstone, let's go destroy the nearest village to remove temptations. Jeez, he was a pain in the neck." She rubbed her neck, like it actually hurt.
"Yes well he hates near everyone else in lengthy times" he said with a sigh. "So should we start?" he asked waving to the range.
"Sure!" She said, blasting one easily to oblivion. She looked shocked that the dummy didn't reappear or something. "Um... Oops... Aren't we supposed to destroy them? Am I in trouble or something?"
"Nope" he said as the dummy just had another replace it. He smiled as he threw a hand up and tossed an ice ball that froze the next dummy solid. He then tossed a shuriken and it shattered.
"Oh, good," she said, breathing in relief. She was glad this school wasn't too uptight. "So, how long have you been here?"
"10 years" he said with a sigh. He then tried taking in a deep breath and tried drawing his silver fire but only got a big spread not a cone like with his cold breath.
"Oh..." Had his father disowned him? "Do you ever get to see your father?" She threw her ring blade, slicing off the head and thudding into the backdrop. Maybe she could learn how long dragons held grudges for.
"No he just knew I had nothing to learn from him so he sent me off to learn more" he said with a shrug. He did miss his father but he knew dragons tended to think really long term.
"Your dad wanted to get you out into the world?" That was news to her. "But you still get to see him, at least during holidays, right?" It would be painful, never seeing Ignacius again.
She stuck out her tongue. "I think you need to apologize and give her chocolates and mow her lawn. That tends to make people like you."
"SO something slipped my mind and he just make me read another huge book if I got any punishment" he said with a slight shake of his head at her.
"Oh, did you read any good books?" she asked, blowing up the dummy repeatedly, oblivious to his lack of fire.
"Wow, really?!" she stopped, "That's amazing! We mainly just practiced fighting and blowing stuff up."
"Oh, as a baby. If I was cold, I'd just naturally burst into flames. Even when my father tried to leave me out in the cold to die right after childbirth, I would have died of starvation rather than the cold. I guess that's why he finally decided to raise me on his own."
