Hello, I'm Ben! While I don't always read horror, I am very much attracted to monsters, folklore, and strange things in my own fiction. I prefer more psychological, otherworldy types of stories, and when I do drop into horrortown, it's usually for a short story or graphic novel that packs a punch into a smaller space.
Welcome Ben! Have you read Harrow County? It's a graphic novel series with a lot of creepy folklore elements.

HelloI’m Daniel and I’m 22 and I live in South West England. I read a lot of genres from Sci Fi,Fantasy and Horror to Classic Literature.
My favourite genre however is Horror and Weird Fiction by far. Masters of the genre include Lovecraft, M.R. James, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Ramsey Campbell. I have only included the authors I have read there is much more for me to delve into.
Thanks. I obviously meant Stephen King and Clive Barker not Stephen Barker. He sounds cool as well though!

Hello and welcome to HA, Daniel!
Hey. My name is Jenn. I’m 29 years young. I honestly only started reading 2 years ago, & I’ll tell you why. (Not that I didn’t read before, just only really started 2 years ago). In high school I HATED reading with a passion. Give you a book to read and then homework and tests. Problem was, every time I read, I literally could not comprehend wtf I just read. So I failed English class... miserably. Dropped out my Senior year, that was the start of a 9 year alcohol and drug addict run. 2 years ago I ended up in detox. Miserable & bored because honestly they don’t do much in detox. I picked up “The fault in our stars” fell in love read it in a day, & suddenly I could completely comprehend everything I read. And I continued all through 5 days at detox along with a 90 day rehab stint. I love all kinds of genres. But my fave are YA, mystery, thriller, & horror. I am 2 years and 3 months sober, & I still love to read. It realllly helps when I’ve got cravings and feeling anxious. I love losing myself in a book. So I’m here hoping to find more amazing reads and meet new friends :)
Welcome to HA, Jenn. I'm glad you found your way to horror. You have so many good reads ahead of you :)
Welcome Jenn! I have an ex-wife that had we went through a lot of battles with Rx addiction. I was also in many bands and had all sorts of friends with drug and alcohol related issues—some who died. I know it's a battle, so congrats on staying clean & switching your addiction to something safer and worlds you could probably never find through any drug.
Welcome Chantelle. I like a lot of the same authors. In addition to horror, I used to also be an assistant manager for a popular comic book store in Dallas, TX, so I love a good graphic novel.
Hi all. I am Billy from Northern, VA. Horror movie lover. Currently enjoying AMC fear fest; and paramount network since they are doing A nightmare on Elm Street this year. 1 more time Robert Englund, 1 more time. :) I struggled thinking of a horror themed book. I did add very subtle elements of horror in my novel I did publish this year. A little dab. Horror is hard to get down. Hope everyone has a nice Halloween!
We're all entitled to one good scare. And.. We all go a little mad sometimes :)
Hello! I’m Rafael and i love horror anything, especially books and art, I’m an Art Director, Surfer, bookworm, adventure seeker, horror, thriller and good story admirer, wannabe writer, science enthusiast, happily married and proud dad.
Hey all! I'm Steven, and I've been reading and watching horror for as long as I can remember. It started with the Goosebumps books mom would buy for me as a kid and her Stephen King books I would sneak from her shelf and read. I'm hoping to join in on discussions on group reads and make some new friends along the way.
