Hi! My name is Martin, I'm new on this site and I´m from Mexico. I've always liked dark themes in any form of entertainment but for some reason I never really got into literary horror; from the genre I have only read Lovecraft and he quickly became one of my favorite authors so I'm looking forward to some recommendations. Cheers!
Hi everyone! Thank you for let me join this group. I'm Natalya, mother of 2 young girls, from Zagreb (Croatia). I love everything about thriller, horror, paranormal though I love other genres like fantasy, SF, historical (fantasy or not), dramas. I also like to watch horror movies, shows etc. If some of you love Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Ray Bradbury, H.P. Lovercraft, Robert Louis Stevenson, Bram Stoker etc. Also, I'm great fan of Gothic culture and everything about it. Happy to chat here with all of you.
Hi everybody! I'm Marlena and I write YA horror and YA fantasy novels, but I've written a number of weird horror short stories in the past. I've really been leaning into the YA Horror genre though and hope to broaden my reading more in that area as well as expand it with a few books of my own. Weird, creature feature, supernatural - these are all areas I enjoy.Oh and did I mention I love werewolves? I love writing about them, reading about them, etc. If there's a werewolf character in a book, I'm likely going to sympathize with them somehow.
I'm looking forward to finding new horror reader friends, discovering new authors, and diving into more creepy stories!
Hey guys im Kieran. Long time horror fan but new to horror books. Looking to gain some insight into this genre as well as some recommendations! Thanks for having me :)
Welcome to all the new HA'ers! It's a great time to dive in because we have lots of exciting group and author reads going on. Join in the fun!

Hiya, folks! I'm Sassy. Like many of you, I'm a long time horror fan, but I'm probably a little too picky for my own good. I'm looking to expand my interests and read books that I'd normally pass over. The stories I like best have a more natural setting and involve exploration into the unknown, which is why Annihilation was such a big hit for me. Also how can I forget The Ruins and The Terror! If I can find more books like those three, I'd be one happy camper.
Hi guys. I'm Natalie, its only in the last few years that I came to love horror. I love a good creature feature one and am always looking for recommendations. I'm so glad I found this group and am looking forward to reading through the threads.
Greetings and salutations friendos Sassy and Natalie.
If you haven't yet read it, you might like The Ritual by Adam Nevill. It's both exploring the unknown and has a bit of creature in it.
