Hello! I'm a traditionally published author who has a horror book that is a motion picture. Two of my other novels are currently in production for film as well. I really enjoy movies and books that have a mystery to go along with horror elements. My books contain haunted lighthouses and intelligent hauntings. I really love gothic horror and my favorite scary movie is the Woman in Black. Thank you for letting me join the group. I hope to learn more about all of you here. Angela J. Townsend

Isn't it a fun movie :) I filmed a movie two years ago with an all gothic set similar to what Niamh Coulter did when she designed the set for the Woman in Black. I think Niamh is a genius when it comes to the victorian time period. I'm writing a sequel to my novel the Forlorned which features a gothic Woman in Black type of character but it is set in Nova Scotia and her time period is not Victorian but much older--- 1812 era. :)

Thank you Bill! Hope you are doing well.
Welcome, Angela! As another ghost story writer (although mine are more modern), consider me impressed/envious of your film deal!
Thank you Benjamin! how fun you write ghost stories. I really love them. My book takes place in the war of 1812 only in the prolouge then it is present day :) Including rats and ghosts which make it extra fun! What are the names of your novels?

Thank you so much for the welcome!

Thank you so much for the welcome!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I'm happy to meet other fans of the horror genre. I love writing and sharing my stories with others. I entered into the film industry because my writing career changed so much when amazon became such a giant and oversaturated the market with books. I especially enjoy writing visual details and researching. Yesterday I spent the day wondering through old mausoleums and recording the different sounds. One in particular was the empty hollow sound of a door knocker on the front of a two hundred year old marble door.
Hi all, I'm Christie. I am an enormous fan of horror everything, but don't have a ton of places in my life to discuss it so I am hoping to broaden my circle and get to expand my tastes a bit.
Hello Everyone!I'm Maria and I love everything horror: books, movies, tv series...
I really want to read books that genuinely scare me so your suggestions will be greatly appreciated :)
I'm the classic Gen-X horror, sci-fi fan. It started with Alien, Predator, The Thing and They Live in my VCR and Stephen King books on my nightstand. I recently published my first horror novel, a creature feature set on a whaleship in 1851. I'm always looking for something fun to read or watch. My day job is as a newspaper editor in Rockland, Maine.
