Welcome to HA, Megan. I read lots of horrifying books and a few horrible ones too ;) I think you'll like it here.

I'm occasionally shocked at how long my tbr list has gotten, but then I remember that I'll never be w/o something I want to read. Of course, I'll have to live to 105 to read my current list... :)

Hi everyone! My name is Ramonda. I am 25 years old from Killafornia (pun intended...lol...okay a little corny but I tried). I have been a horror fan as long as I can remember. My first memory as a child was watching the movie Chuckie over and over. I am looking to join a bookclub to try something new and out of my comfort zone. Looking forward to getting some new reading inspiration from all of you.
Hi folks. I'm not sure if I have introduced myself in here previously (I'm more of a lurker on GR), but I'm Baz. When I do post on here it'll usually be at obscure hours of the day when you're all asleep. I'm not an insomniac, I just live in an obscure timezone :) I live and work in suburban Brisbane with my partner and our ragdoll Toby and love to read mostly horror/crime/supernatural, often with a nice glass of Cab Sauv in hand. I might be endeavouring to write a few short stories this (Southern Hemisphere) winter now that I have my study up and running, but I suspect this will be a fleeting hobby done to actually scare myself into seeing how terrible my writing really is!
Favourite authors include the old favs of His Majesty - Stephen King, Dean Koontz and Michael Crichton, but more recently the likes of John Sandford, John J Nance, Tess Gerritsen and Patricia Cornwell.
Thank you for reading my ramblings and hopefully chat soon :)
Hi everyone, I just wanted to take a quick second to "re-introduce" myself. I'm Jessika & I was a member here for a while, but for one reason & another I haven't always been active in my Goodreads groups. Well, long story short, I'm getting burnt out on social media such as Facebook & Instagram, and I'd like to make a return to Goodreads, if you will. I've always been one to add books to my to-read list & I review the books that I read, but I've really been missing just having conversations about books with people. I am a huge Stephen King fan & I've read some other horror here and there, but I'm really a newbie to the genre in comparison to a lot of you. So I wanted to join back up & see if I can find some great recommendations. Looking forward to chatting with you all! :)
Hey everyone, my name is Chris Swinney. I use the pen name of C. L. Swinney. I'm a deputy sheriff and author. I have eight true crime books out, all about serial killers. My ninth true crime book come out May 3, 2017! I'm also a huge fan of horror. Thanks for letting me join.

Hi all, I'm Barbrey. 48 year old gothic and ghost story fan from Canada. Hoping for some great discussions and recommendations.
My name's Kyle and I'm from Detroit. I read widely but have a soft spot for good horror. Shirley Jackson is one of my favorites but no one creeps me the way Jack Ketchum does. That guy...

Another Michigander! Welcome, Kyle.

Welcome, Kyle. You should check out Garden of Fiends: Tales of Addiction Horror. It has a short story by Ketchum that I think you'll enjoy.
