Hello! I'm from London. I just joined the group and I'm looking forward to discovering some new authors. Horror is probably my favourite genre. I use to sneak books off my parents shelves when I was much too young to be reading them :s

Hi everyone, I'm a writer of apocalyptic horror and sci-fi horror who loves a good scary book. I'm in my 30's, living in the north of England.When I was a kid my english teacher handed me John Wyndham's The Day of the Triffids, and then I got pretty well hooked on Stephen King. I try and read fairly broadly, but I always feel like horror is my home.

Hi all!I recently joined the group.
I grew up on 1970s horror films, the stories of Edgar Allan Poe, and the lyrics of heavy metal bands such as Black Sabbath.
A couple years ago I began avidly reading dark fiction, inspired largely by Stephen King (my favorite fiction author). More recently, I’ve been reading Peter Straub and Joe Hill, and a little bit of Dean Koontz.
I’m a philosopher by academic training and profession, but King reignited my love of fiction and creative writing. I’m currently nearing completion of two of my own dark fiction novels. Very interested in psychopathology and ostensible paranormal phenomena.
I’m looking to add new friends to my Goodreads list, especially dark fiction enthusiasts. Please feel free to send me a friend request!

Hi folks. I just joined the group. I read quite widely, but I do like dark, creepy, quirky fiction and good literature in general (both classics and contemporary). I don't like pointless gore tho ; /I love books by Dan Simmons and Stephen King. Joe Hill is also good...
I'm sure there's a lot more quality stuff out there that I still need to discover and am hoping for some inspiration from all you Aficionados in the hope of widening my horizons.

Here to get some book recommendations and socialize with others interested in the genre. Currently reading The Call Of Cthulhu. Most of the books i read so far was of Stephen King's, so if anyone has other recommendations let me know!

Hi! I really enjoy Lovecraft. I also love Harlan Ellison and Robert Bloch for horror.

Shhhh, I'm an author of 6 horror books (short story collections) and writing and producing my own works consistently. Now I'll be quiet because I'm not allowed to say anything more. Except, I am a ferocious reader at the same time - burning through Anne Rice, Stephen King short story collections, James Patterson Thrillers, etc. is a daily given over here.
