Hi! I'm Jamie. I'm a stay at home homeschooling momma. I live in Western Pa. I'm so glad I found this group. I enjoy reading eclectically. I absolutely love horror & the paranormal. My hobbies include reading of course, genealogy, and crochet although lately I've been forgoing crocheting for reading or researching :) I'm looking forward to being a part of the group, getting to know other members, and reading more horror.

Welcome Jamie.
I enjoy crochet too but haven't done much in the last few months. I hope to get back to it with the longer nights... as long as my books don't keep me away from it. :)

Hell, everyone! I'm a student and play in a punk band and because of it I'm JUST starting to travel the world a little more. I started reading last year actually and have grown to absolutely fall in love with it.I've learned to love reading about sadistic and twisted people with disturbing state of minds. I hope to read more sickening stuff in the future!
Thanks for the open arms!
Hi Steve,Welcome to HA, I see from your to read shelf that you have found some good titles.
There is a huge amount of material floating around this group, I'm sure you will find much that suits you here.
Hi everyone. My name is Stephanie and i've always loved horror, movies, books. It started with Goosebumps as a kid and horror movies I watched as a kid. I hope to find some scary good reads :) I love vampires, ghosts, zombies, and suspenseful horror mostly but horror in general.
I'll read any genre but horror has always been my favorite.
Howdy gang! I love me some horror-fiction! King, Straub, Simmons, Koontz, McCammon! Bring it on! I'm here for recommendations mostly and to see what other folks are reading! I'm currently reading Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie (Fantasy, sorry!) but can't wait to get started on City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin and then start catching up on the recent King novels!
Hi,I just started reading as a hobby and now I find myself unable to stop. I started with a few crime novels, mysteries, old classics, and then I read Koontz for the first time. His prose had an affect on me I never expected from written words meant to scare. "Could a book convey horror?", I pondered.
I've always loved horror movies...apocalyptic zombie, twisted demonic possession, bloody slasher films with dumb cheerleaders, etc, etc, etc....
I've just never imagined it could play out well in written form.
Researching on Goodreads for "goodreads", I notice you seem like a friendly bunch so here I am. I expect King and Koontz. But, I want diversity. Plus, well written and SCARY.
Soooo.....
Please, enlighten me.
Hello! I am a PhD student from Manchester, England and enjoy the occasional spooky tale. Robert Aickmann, Stephen King, Thomas Ligotti and anything with an Arctic setting are my favourites. My family are also horror fans. My brother has just set up a blog about horror books, films and computer games here: http://thedrownedman.blogspot.co.uk
Look forward to becoming a member of your community.
Hello and welcome to HA Mike, Peter, and Udeni!Peter, King and Koontz are barely even the tip of the iceberg. Along with those big, well known names, there are a bunch of other authors writing some seriously good horror. Be it the gory or the atmospheric, you will find it ALL here. :)
Hello, everyone! I just recently joined the group. Unsurprisingly, I became drawn to the horror genre by reading Stephen King. I am currently working my way through his vast library of works. I've started branching out to other authors in the genre as well, and I'm hoping to discover even more as a member of this group.
Welcome, Grant! I'm sure you'll find plenty of new authors to fall in love with here. This group is a great resource.
Hello and welcome to HA, Grant! You are sure in the right place to find new authors and books to read.
My name is Reymart. I was actually gone from goodreads for more than two years, really. I've met some friends here who are still in my list of friends in this platform.
I ventured and experimented. And after two years found exactly what I wanted. To write. And to be back here in this group. This is the first group I ever joined in. And I still love this. ❤️
Hi All This is Abilash I have recently published a book "EN Route GOA" a thriller genre. I am amazed by the response on Amazon. I do not have a reading habit and I am in good reads to cultivate that habit for me to improve my writing.
