Horror Aficionados discussion
Introduce Yourself!
I listened to the audiobooks John and she does have a southern tang in them. I don't know about in print.
John wrote: "Thanks! Geez, the Audible version is cheaper than the Kindle version!"Some of those Kindle prices are insane. I listened to the audio versions too. I remember a little southern flavor but don't trust me, my memory is dreadful ;)
HiI'm Dom. Long-time horror fan, started out in the library picking up paperbacks with covers that terrified me once the lights had gone out (I never even dared to pick up The Manitou whose cover promised terror beyond anything I could take!). Most recently finished Michael Wehunt's Greener Pastures, which I can highly recommend. Happy to be here!

Hello and welcome, Dom! I totally agree regarding Wehunt's Greener Pastures. It kicked some serious ass. :)

Maybe you'd like this one? It's a blend of horror but isn't nightmare material."
lol thanks
Hello, I'm Patricia and have been a fan of well written horror since childhood. I'm always in search of a book that's SCARY - don't go for those with romance, pointless sex or gore. My favorites include The Strain Trilogy, Salems Lot, Christine, Ray Garton's Ravenous, They Thirst, and the Bad Wolf (or Pale Wolf?) Trilogy.Werewolves are good, but have a hard time getting into zombie reads.
Look forward to participating in the group!
Welcome Patricia! You'll pick up a lot of good reading ideas here, and the group reads have brought many previously "unknown" authors to my attention.
Did I see a thread about 31 days of horror in this group? I see stuff and never remember where, darn internet! By the why how you doing? I'm Tom

I need to get on that!
Hello!my name is Dora.
I've been a fan of horror fiction since reading IT as a teenager[ and then sleeping with the lights on for the next decade or so].
I LOVE gothic horror, and am obsessed with anything vampire/ werewolf related. I really enjoy psychological horror as well- not so much creatures we should be afraid of, as much as the nice, quiet ,smiling neighbor next door ,hm?
Hello and welcome to HA, Dora and Krystle!Dora, Bark has pointed you in the right direction with that one!
Hello everyone!I'm Anna! I've always loved everything horror. I've seen many classic and newer horror movies and recently discovered horror and Gothic literature. I love curling up with a good book that is scary and sends chills down my spine. Recently, I read a psychological horror anthology called Slasher Girls and Monster Boys. It was in a 'blind date with a book' section at my local bookstore. The stories were short, and each was based off of horror movies or stories.
I'm really excited to join this club and see what other books are out there!
Welcome to HA, Anna!
