Hello all My name is Robert and I have ghosted about Goodreads for some time now but I thought it was time to be more active here. I look forward to hearing suggestions and news concerning a genre I love.

Welcome to The Jungle v1 (v2 being Stephen King forum but that's just in my unhinged mind) Robert... especially as we share the same first name (when I'm not being Blastronaut and in the 'real world' of course). 'Ghosting' about obviously brought you to an apt place. : )
Hi, I'm Chase, and I'm working on my first book. It's in the realm of high fantasy, but there are horror scenes within it. With those scenes my goal is to make the reader want to turn on all their lights afterward. My favorite horror authors are Lovecraft, King, and Poe.
Hi, my name is Sofie. I love horror and thrillers a lot. Something about watching and reading scary stuff while it's raining in the background just makes me very happy inside. I love reading and read way more than I probably should (definitely give suggestions and I will read them). Mainly I just love the twists and ideas that come with reading and watching horror.
@Sofie: Welcome and hell yeah, LoL I love that too. I mostly read and watch horror and it's an even greater experience when it's raining :-D
Hi AllA Noob to the group.
Loved horror movies from too young an age, love paranormal subjects and discussion. Read ghost stories as a kid and sadly left them behind. Came back to them again in the last little bit and now would love to add my own to the world.
LTJ wrote: "@Scott: Welcome and very awesome! Which movie would you say is your all-time favorite? :-)"I'm very bad at this question as I don't think I have a favourite and flip flop. I've also seen some recently that I thought were brilliant!
My recent favourites were the Hell House LLC movies. loved the creep factor of them. Not big budget movies, not all of the scripts were of the same quality and some of the acting was poor...however the creep factor made them really good.
I really like the conjuring series. Take away the entertainment versions of the stories and the fact that the Warrens weren't the people you see on screen i thought there was entertaining scary films there.
I am a sucker for the original Universal Horrors and the Hammer and the likes, there really isn't anything too scary about them, but they were great entreating movies.
What i think is missing from a lot of the newer scary/horror types is a good ghost movie (and i don't mean i the style of Patrick Swayze)!
@Scott: I finally saw the entire Hell House series and enjoyed them! The first one is my favorite :-DGreat picks as I also love The Conjuring movies, SPEAKING OF WHICH, I plan to watch The Nun & The Nun 2 probably this week. For me, I love A Nightmare on Elm Street series, SAW (the new one was fantastic!), and anything unique in the horror space. The crazier, the better... OH AND TERRIFIER! ZOMG I LOVED BOTH THOSE MOVIES!!!
Hey all. I am a pretty new writer from England UK. My approach in writing horror short stories may be a little untraditional within the horror genre. Finally self publishing my first horror short story on Amazon "Exquisite Crimson Yearnings" by Tarek von Bergmann. There will be a follow up in my short story series "Portraits of Obsession & Madness" very shortly, both on Kindle and Paperback.
